I seriously doubt corp battles will be reintroduced with PC in its current state. If you want real competition, PC is where CCP wants you. Corp battles would make PC and the current district locking less desirable to many corps. CCP is already facing a huge problem with the wealth PC corps are accumulating... Risk free. Corp battles would only make this problem worse as many corps would rather make money from winning corp battles then defending PC districts. You think Eve has a big blue donut... Dust PC would be worse.

No. Oh my goodness, no. There aren't many more aggravating attitudes than a self-entitled consumer. Good products and good service != customer is always right.

Well, we'll have to disagree here then. See that inequality statement in my sig down there? I'm totally in favor of throwing any or every FPS convention out of the window if it means bringing integration with Eve Online. If you want a run-of-the-mill FPS (I don't mean moderate quality, I mean normal ideas), go over yonder to another game. That's my opinion. If that's how you get fun, then that's what you should do. Eve Online isn't for everyone, and I see no reason why Eve Dust514 should be any different. If all I wanted was sci-fi fps, I'd continue playing Halo.

"FPS" is at most a genre, as little as merely a mechanical and user interface approach. (Extra Credits had a video where they criticize the way we think about game genres, but I can't remember which it was.) Eve Online integration isn't just a 'great feature'. CCP has said from the very beginning they want to create an in-depth, holistic science fiction universe. That's CCP's goal. Eve Online integration with Eve DUST514 isn't just a neat idea they are marketing, it's their foundation. If that integration is weak right now (which I'm not debating, it's horri-bad,) then that's what they need to be working on. Fundamental game mechanics(bugs, aim assist, balance, etc) and Eve Online integration should be their top to priorities if they are going to deliver on their vision.

I don't think I understand "not 1 min to shoot 1 player". Could you rephrase that statement?
By "just go all out and have some fun" do you mean 'without consequences beyond the cost of our lost suits."?

I don't have behind-the-scenes numbers, I only have my experience. But most of the time when I'm playing with my corp I have really enjoyable, competitive, public matches. I'm not even into advanced suits yet, nor advanced equipment other than +dams and submachine guns. People in my squads aren't bringing their proto suits to stomp the pubs. And these enjoyable, competitive matches, we only win about half of those.

So what I'm trying to say is you are asking for game design/mechanic changes to bring on competitive gameplay, and I am failing to see why those changes are necessary because I'm not failing to obtain competitive gameplay and I am not "elite few." (I suck at fps's, actually.)

I wasn't, no, which is why my very first post in this thread was asking about PC as compared to corp battles. I am trying to understand the request.
Incorporating a bit more of what you said below, let's see if I understand it better now:
you are highly-skilled (character and player skill), as is to some degree your corporation.
doing pub matches doesn't provide you challenge, as the reds don't practice any f*ing teamwork (my #1 issue).
you want to be able to setup matches with other people who are at your skill level for challenging game play.

This is where I'm different from 99% of people out there, and I accept that. I don't give 1 rat's behind about $$. CCP has a vision. They should be doing quality work while striving to that goal. If that goal is unpopular, even to the point of becoming a non-viable business, I would not suggest nor support the compromising of the goal. If it can't get market support, then their dream is simply not viable and it "fails" (from a business perspective.) But they shouldn't compromise their dream. And I take the same approach when it means that I'll have to quit playing a game because the designer's goals and my fun don't line up.

Well, almost all districs in PC are now locked. CCP better give us corp battles.

No scanners? That's kinda what this game is about. But, you could get rid of the mini map and scans then show up as bright red carrots on your screen still. No AA is fine too.

I wasn't around for Corp battles, but this sounds like something I would like to see. I lead a small corp with some new players who don't yet understand this game. This sounds like a great way to get them trained. PC is not an option for us and won't be for a long while. Will be spreading this petition to the rest of my guys.

Agreed + 1... Let us help build a competitive group of mercs... Not just pub stomping crews.
