I'm expecting it to happen sometime later this year. I'm hoping that the release of all racial variant dropsuits being released and the weapons variants that has been released symbolize a possibility that CCP is getting everything in to pack in the drones for PVE later on this year. I'm not focusing on that but CCP has been gung ho lately to get the ball rolling on the dropsuits, weapons and vehicles. It's only a few things left on the to do list, it seems. PVE has got to be one of em. If not, oh well.

They've spent over 2 years just on the basics of a FPS that we have now, still so far from balanced. Stupid stuff like a few dropsuits have been delayed for a year already - and they'll likely be ****** up when they come out too, putting real content development on hold for another 6 months while they **** around and eventually get to level of "fixed"
So, my guess would be early 2022; assuming they remain laser focused on PS3 development and don't have to start all over on another engine.

There wasn't a confirmed date within 2013, but MTACs were announced as coming 2013 during the 2012 Fanfest.

If everything goes well, to be honest 1.8 seems to be much closer to balance than before, vehicles still need work and AV too, but you need to understand that more stuff is in the game the harder is to balance it all, that's why you think it was balanced in the early beta but there were not even half of the stuff that we have now. I think CCP really going carefully now with the balancing and seems like a good things are before us. I wouldn't do a big deal out of the vehicles atm., Takes patience, the closer we are to all the basic stuff being good and balanced the more we or developers can focus on the fun and awesome stuff. |
