Does anyone else think that lighting in this game is severely....underworked/under appreciated? I know some effort into muzzle flash was put in like 7 builds ago but that seems about it. I put in some feedback on how the night maps are completely illuminated like it was day from ambient sources (got no little response).
Everytime I play a map it's like, "Yep, Dust, where everything is visible because there is no source to the light. There's just light coming from anywhere and everywhere. I'd be amazed to see if they could possibly make it any worse (unless Sun glare becomes even more OP) and an immense list of reasons as to why Dust 514 can't look good will be brought up undoubtedly but I mean....sourceless lighting? Scouts with no shadows to hide in? Night maps as bright as day?
Do any of you ever wonder about that kind of stuff? How the lack of lighting makes everything so bleh. Here we are shooting super heated plasma and laser beams and it just doesn't "pop" like it should, it doesn't visually please as greatly as the weapons convey.

Good point about lighting sources Bojo. More shadow filled environments would make for more fun and help those stealthy scout critters. Thank you for actually take me seriously. It's just tiring of playing these boring maps. It's like playing with geometric figures in a desert plane rather then playing on a planet, or at least it looks that way.

Large open maps = Me and my SCR stopping all who don't tread lightly. Really is a game without challenge that fun to you if so I think we need to redefine who is sad.
