.....hereby revoke my candidacy for CPM1.
After speaking with Tibetan Monks, practicing the Abramovic Method, OOBE's (out of body experiences), and some deep soul searching, I have come to the realization that I cannot be a part of something (even to better it) that causes me so much inner turmoil and strife.
Reflecting on the reasons why I play DUST 514, I have come to realize that I do not play DUST because it is fun, I play DUST because I support the Amarr, think their gear looks awesome (bravo art guys), and have a few friends I enjoy playing with - probably not good enough reasons to be a part of the CPM.
Another reason I have decided to bow out is if you read my main thread (click the link in my sig), it was one, made in the wrong section, and two, made partly in jest. The thread came about as me reading in another thread that CPM1 elections would be coming up at some point soon and me going "huh...I'm a forum warrior...I'm pretty popular...LET'S DO THIS THANG!" I expected a few responses but nowhere near the six or so pages of inquiry, positive feedback, personal attacks, and current CPM0 guys (and gal) rolling their eyes at my lunacy (luv ya CPM0!) After the reaction I realized I had to take this seriously, but as time progressed I realized that....

I'm content with whatever CCP dishes out (unless it's glaringly awful in which I'll raise hell on these here forums)

Alas I know some of you will be like "about time!" and others will be a little surprised and others still will be like IDGAF, who the hell are you...but it was real, and I bid my candidacy for CPM1 adieu.

I'm a very narcissistic catgirl so yeah I'd be eternally grateful if you "liked" my post - we'll be bros! I mean hell...I make a post "Catgirl needs a Corp" and BAM 6 pages of people offering me homes in awesome corps...why - CUZ I'M AWESOME!

Yeah, ultimately that is what I realized - plus, I just don't have the time (final semester of college).
I thought about it - I'm already bitter now, and sitting on CPM1 would probably make me borderline murderous. For those who have played with me already know I have a VERY short fuse. Also, education > video game. How in the world would I tell my parents "uh yeah, skipping finals to go to Iceland...oh why....videogame stuff....ya know - serious business."

Its a bureaucratic process. I think many believe its about just bringing their ideas to CCP's forefront and in reality the position entails more than that. It seems to require plenty of patience. I get the impression some running for it thinks it will be an overnight glory thing. My hats to those who win it though.

Anyways, I don't know whether you would have been a good cpm or not but I liked your name and that would have been enough for me to vote for you. ^_^
Personally, I really like Dust and don't think it's meh. it's just not the right game for every situation. Sometimes, when I find myself getting a little burnt out or frustrated I play another game. Eventually I make my way back, and I find Dust is now fun again. It's all about moderation when I play (but don't let CCP hear that. I like to complain too).
