What do you guys think they should be? APCs with seats for a full squad? An Anti-Vehicle vehicle with mounted swarm launchers, or plasma cannon, or laser equivalents? Mobile command posts with a deploy mode that allows them to act as a CRU, in exchange for being immobile? I'm curious...

Your better off having mass drivers on it than a Plasma Cannon

APC with seats for full squad, capable of fitting a medium Turret designed to kill/ suppress infantry units, or mount a Remote Infantry Repper to support those infantry. They need enough seats to carry a full six man team, a pilot and a gunner.
The gunner/repper and pilot roles should be separate meaning either team work is required to use modules and the gun/repper. MAV should gain benefits from using scan modules and MCRU to provide a mobile troop delivery, spawn point, and anti infantry or support platform designed to synergise and aid infantry combat while being susceptible to AV fire.
They should have sub tank level Armour and Shields, be moderately fast.

I want a squad-carrying APC with five seats + driver, with a driver controlled small turret / active squad support module (repper or something).

Yeah, it needs to be an APC with anti-infantry/infantry support capabilities. I would like to see a choice be made between fitting them as anti-infantry... mobile CRU... or Mobile Depot. |

No reason we can't have both, but bigger maps are definitely needed before we start adding in APC type vehicles. I could see it being somewhat useful on Fractured Road and Border Gulch, but that's about it.

We could make use of them on any map well.

My thoughts:
1. Area-effect nanohive effect for nearby troops 2. Automatically repair the armor of troops inside 3. Turret with very high max elevation so it can be used against flying vehicles
Specialized version would have an inbuilt CRU.

I imagine there to be two types, just like there are two types with dropships.
APC type- Large capacity personal carrier with a small turret.
IFV type- slightly lower capacity, cost more and is the link between small LAV firepower and HAV firepower. Needless to say it will probably be in high use if that is the case. |

message from Godin:
overview: Squad supporting vehicle, being able to carry around a full squad while being able to support them afterwards in some way
tech 1- tech one should be the general hull to use for squad support. They should get a medium turret on the it, and a small on top (medium goes to pilot, and small goes to gunner), and 6 seats to pick up and move around squads.
Tech 2- I have 3 T2 hulls that MAV's could have: Command, logistics, and destroyer.
Command- would similar to the Crusader suit, but for vehicles. New modules should also be added at the same time to boost this hull's powers, and this hull would be the only one to viably fit them, similar to the cloak is.
Logistics- would be the third and last hull that would be logistics (explained this before, but to simply put it, there shouldn't be many logi hulls, as there would be blaance problems, and each of these 3 hulls should focus on one type of "logi" role.), and it's focus would be would be keeping people in the fight by keeping them stocked on supplies. How it would do this is by putting a built in Supply Depot, and it would preform just like a regular one (except a reduced restock rate, and a vehicle repair missing), as well as a small bubble shield that would protect infantry against enemy fire, and reduces the effect of orbitals (it would protect against only small OB's; any other would go through with a reduced effect, so medium become small, large become medium, XL become large. However, due to the insane power of both of these things, it would weaken the modules put on the hull, and it immobilizes the vehicle. it should last for a while, and its cooldown should be even longer (2 minutes up, 5 minutes down without skills).
Destroyer- Basically, a faster moving, more agile MAV with a large turret on top. It would get a flat buff to turret ROF, heat, reload, things like that. it should also get a buff on regen and movement. This would support HAV's in fights, basically hit and run vehicle fighters. as a result, it gets no small turret, it's base tank is lowered.
EDIT: The Logi MAV would get 1 small turret on it, maybe 2 |

I'd prefer a heavily armored anti-infantry logistics type vehicle, something that that's very hard to pop and can serves as a mCRU/Supply depot. Remote shield/armor reppers should also be brought back so those can be thrown on too.
