Why does a proto get +50 sp for killing a noob militia gear guy stuck on a wall?
Why does a noob militia guy get +50 sp for killing a proto beast mode vet?
Could we get a sliding scale? Make it more enticing to use skill and a cheaper drop suit, rather than rely on epic proto gear and finger of god Duvolle Assault rifle + aim assist killing noobs.
BTW, you should get more SP for disabling auto-aim.
Maybe something like this:
Proto kills entry level suit -> +5 Proto kills advanced suit -> +25 Proto kills Proto -> +50
Other side of the curve:
Entry level kills entry level -> +50 Entry level kills advanced -> +75 Entry level kills Proto -> +100 (AND EPIC BWAAAAAAA sound effect)
+5 SP for no aim assist for all kills. |

Uhm... the idea behind is right, but remember that those WP will turn into SP when the match ends: if I deploy with a PRO gear and I only end up killing MLT I'll get an unconsistent reward despite all my efforts. Big time NO-NO

I don't think that'd work to well lol. There'd be no incentives for proto users anymore. I don't run it all the time, but sometimes i like to wear a suit every now and again in a pub match, particularly if those on the other side are using them. If this was implemented, I'd just eliminate my equipment to conserve pg/cpu on my suits. With running RR, I could just as easily pick off an advanced or proto guy with a basic or adv suit from long distances.

I think what the op was looking for would be better solved by something like this.
It is an old thead and locked but it clearly povides a pathway to reward starter fit players and proto players alike.
TL;DR WP should be based upon damage dealt rather than kills.
Fun > Realism

Your effort level would be debatable if all you did was kill MLTs with your proto. I tried playing with MLT gear and a proto guy looked in my general direction so I obviously was killed. |

Perhaps not that extreme then:
Basic Kills Advanced -> +55 Basic Kills Proto -> +60
Proto Kills Basic -> +40 Pro KIlls Advanced -> +45

You're saying the ONLY (ref: "no incentives") payout to play with a proto suit is to get +50 WP for each kill...really? I thought having fun was also something you'd probably like.
If the other side was also using proto suits, then you'd get your "" incentives. If you just want to proto stomp though...
I've always thought that good team work trumps everything. So if you and your buddy hop into basic suits and work well together, I say more power to you for giving the protos a thrashing. You'd deserve the extra WP. |

As far as the game currently is, you can't know since the beginning if the enemies will deploy with MLT, ADV or PRO suits. If one day CCP will add a matchmaking which allows everyone to decide against what type of enemies to fight with, then such WP system shall turn useful indeed.
Side question: if I deploy with a ck.0 but I use a base Assault Rifle, how many WP would I get for killing each enemy?

IDK about that, seems like you're putting to fine a point on it - if you get the kill you should get the points. That's just fun. I just don't see how it's fair that, based on CCPs "Tier" based drop suits, to have the SAME payout for every circumstance. |

Right, which is actually something I wish they'd do. Similar to FW sites in Eve: if you're a T1 frig and choose to go to a Med site, don't be surprised to get pwned by a T2 HAC...but if you kill it you da s***t.
Side Answer: I'd say, it's less about the weapon and more about the options available for a proto. A basic won't have the same electronics, armor, shields, damage mods etc as a proto. You can have a basic weapon and stack 3 damage mods and slaughter a basic suit - or a proto scout can see a basic 50m off and get the element of surprise. If you both have the same weapon and the proto has 4x the hp they may as well be invulnerable (of course not literally). |

I think the idea has merit, but might work better if there was a intel feature near your map and spawn window. The intel could tell you how many proto/adv/std suits are on both teams. Or how many players fit into which meta category, 10-20, 20-30, etc. basically, if there is a lot of proto, running your own might be to your advantage. However, if you are a team that normally proto stomps and there is not much upper tier gear on the other side, it would behoove oneself to not run their most expensive gear.
But the SP should not change from base. Only increase for killing a higher level of gear, like 60 wp for std and 70 for proto.
