I never noticed it....its here:
How cool is that? CCP doesn't have to do that and they are a bunch of #bosses for being cool like that and interacting with us like that. They are freaking awesome on that tip.
I decided to make this thread because I've got things to say that might hopefully be addressed in the future. I am hoping some of the CCP guys will read this thread and hopefully all of you will give good feedback on the thread.
I'm not going to beat the dead horse about the tanks, but things that I think would make this game more important. I'd really like to see some answers to these things;
#1. Redline War Tactics - I feel like this is a huge problem because it encourages people to act like pansies and that is not good. There are many arguments that you can kill redline snipers but have you actually tried? They can sit so far back with a charge sniper rifle or a thales and you can't hit them. A lot of them are actually pretty smart and will sit right on top of an armor nanohive so as soon as you plink them one time, they're automatically repaired.
That is actually really clever and tactically wise but still being a pansy. I feel like there should be a duration timer on the redline that you can only spend about a minute in the redline before the game auto-suicides you. I feel like there should be some timer that accumulates and stacks the time and if you spend more than say, 3 minutes in the redline the entire game then tacnet will kick you out. That would stop people from inching forward to reset the timer and inching backwards to continue to sit in the redline.
I feel like its an important detail to deal with because often times there are snipers, tanks, plasma cannon users (though, those are quite a bit more rare in my experience) and others who just sit in the redline and kill people and they do it because they know you can't hardly get them. So to me, its a pansy tactic exploiting a loophole in the game. I doubt any of you CCP people sat down and said "Hey, lets make a redline so people can just sit there and be cheap pansies and **** everyone else off". -
#2. Such Great Heights - I feel like this is another huge problem for the same reason the redline war tactics are a problem. I will assume common sense and logic dictate that if there is a ladder to climb, the level designers wanted to give us the ability to use it and climb a building. If there is no ladder then I don't believe that it should be able to be climbed upon. This is yet another cheap pansy tactic little pansies use to tip the scales in their favor.
MANY of the maps have extremely high points where forge gunners and snipers and other people use for things. There is one map in particular where in domination mode you get the Alpha objective and whoever puts droplinks on the pipes first....wins.
That seems wonky to me, guys. It seems unbalanced and unfair. I don't like being on the losing side and I don't like being on the winning side. I like games that are competitive and you win or lose by a hair....those are the games that are worth playing. -
#3. Equipment Spam - Now I know that this is a hot button issue in Dust 514. This is another pansy tactic used to lag the game so that the team that spams it to death can win. Do you see the trend here? Pansies and pansy tactics. Its wrong. I have some ideas.
I believe droplinks should be exclusive to ONE class. Say perhaps we get a new class of suits, right? There are scouts, logi's, sentinels, commando's and heavies...pilots and other basic suits but what say we get ENGINEER? Only the engineer class can carry droplinks. That would narrow down how many people carry droplinks (which is even shooting myself in the foot since I carry droplinks on my proto logi suit) which might be able to reduce the spam unless everyone deployed in the engineer class of course, but the suit needs no low slots, no high slots, no grenade slot, no light slot just a sidearm slot and 4 equipment slots. That way you can carry a nanite injector if you want or a nanohive and there needs to be a setting that you can only equip one set of droplinks or one set of nanohives so on and so fourth.
That might not be such a great idea....because the dropsuit would be stripped down but I feel like droplinks should be a specialized role being as the way people win is to spam them to cause lag, spam them so people can get back in 3 seconds after they die and its yet again....A PANSY MOVE.
I also believe that the animation could be reduced...why do the nanohives need to have such a wide spread of blue light? Why couldn't it just simply blink rapidly? The noise as well doesn't add to or take away from the game...the noise it makes is useless and could be reduced or done away with completely and that would be awesome. -
I have a bunch more ideas......and I'll edit this thread later on but I'm all tapped out on time right now since I'm at work and the boss is eyeballing me as to why I am typing on my laptop so much when I have no paperwork to do lol |

the best solution to equipment spam is to nerf quantity.
i had thought of a relatively simple way to fix it. if they were unable to spam it has how they do it is they have std-proto uplinks or nanohives fitted on their suit. and they place them all down. causing the spam problem. so its mostly the logi suit thats doing it. |

When it says "Bi-weekly" does it mean twice a week or every two weeks?

Good thread, but I have to point out CCP would like one idea per thread. Sorry 'bout that.

Was just about to point that out too.
Oh well, might as well give it a quick read anyway.

Uplinks should not be restricted to any one class but I do agree with the idea of limiting the number of uplinks. I say make the max 3. Even if you use multiple types, 3 would still be the most total uplinks allowed active at one time.
The drop uplinks absolutely need to be dealt with lol seriously |
