The Empires are weak, us Immortals hold the real power, both on the ground and in space. If we worked together, we could rule the galaxy. As it is, the Empires are lucky. We are too busy fighting amongst ourselves to care. So, have at thee, Gallente scum, I will cleanse the galaxy of your... well, not really, but whatever.

Greed is good in New Eden, though, Aero. Greed is what gets most people rich. I will admit, I want power. I will destroy anyone to get that power. I fight for the State because the State gives me my gear, no other reason. I freely admit it and have never denied it. But I fight for them with so much passion that none of my Brothers and Sisters care. They only care that I help them win... most of the time.

Those who created us are mere mortals. We are gods among men, as are our Brothers and Sisters in space. We are better than those who created us. In space, we reach farther. On the ground, we strike harder. We are the first people the Empires turn to. We are the first and last line of defence. We are Immortal, eternal, powerful. We learn more, kill more, are physically superior to the mortals in every way. They don't even trust us completely, and created a police force specifically for us. Made of mortals. Which we could, in theory, overthrow without a moment's hesitation. But we fight our own private wars away from the populous, destroying each other over and over, for what? A piece of land that the Empires don't really care about?

Is not the definition of a god a powerful immortal being? Are we not powerful immortal beings? As per the definition, we are gods.
All gods are created by mortals to define their morals and their laws. We are just the next logical step up from that, gods who can actually interfere with mortals' affairs. Usually not to their liking.
We are superior to the humans in every way. If it wasn't for the gear the State gives me for fighting for them, I'd go my own path, be the mercenary I was born to be.

"Greed is good" is entirely subjective. To me, greed is pure evil. I fight for the Amarr Empire not for gear or ISK, but because they are the reason I am here today and I firmly believe with all my heart and soul that they are New Eden's best chance for a future united in peace. The sentiments are shared Aero.....this woman speaks blasphemy....Gods amongst men? I should not suffer such heresies to meet my ears..... there is but one God, and his laws reign supreme over all of the heavens and men, just the dominion and divine right to rule borne by the Amarr shall serve to unite humanity and reign over all other peoples beneath His Promised Lands.
