High-speed, low-drag operators operating operationally
And I thought Templar was the Amarr term for all of us now, not just the original test batch. |

Iron Wolf Saber wrote:Its already the name of a Minmatar Fighter in Eve. Nice try but I also don't think the Amarr would resort to naming things after minimar conventions (minnies have vikings)
And Templar is the name of the Amarr fighter. Didn't stop CCP from using that one. Then again, that was from the novel wherein the author used a ton of already-used names for **** (THANATOS, Panther, etc).
I still support "Operator." |

MINA Longstrike wrote:I believe the name applied would depend on the culture - amarr use Templar and would probably use nephilim, the gallente would be the likely users of elysians (a lot of the names they use come from Greek myth), the minmatar would likely use einherjiar... As for the caldari I propose the word "Rasetsu" - a type of demon or unrighteous spirit that subsists mostly off of violence and has a lot of connotations towards being an eater of human flesh or a drinker of blood and as par for most spirit creatures in Asian myth is notoriously hard to kill and supremely skilled with weapons being more or less an incarnation of violence.
Collectively all would fall under the word 'immortal'
1. Templars were only the first batch of this type of clone. 2. I still like "Nephilim" for the Amarr word. 3. Only the Amarr have a special word for capsuleers. It wouldn't make much sense for the other races to have their own words for this type of clone. 4. "Immortal" is more of a universal term for EVE and DUST characters, just like "clone" is. 5. Another opportunity for me to say I still like "operator" as the counterpart to EVE's "pilot." |

The original body thing doesn't even make any sense once you realize that every molecule in your body is replaced within 11 years. Not a single molecule that was 'you' 11 years ago is still part of you. You are your consciousness.

Many of us wont be mercenaries once we have the option not to be, though. We'll deploy with our alliances, do PvE in our alliances' home systems, etc. |
