From the perspective of an assault dropship pilot.
How do you stabilize AND aim? The third person view obscures the enemy yet you get full turret control, first person view gives you the X axis but not the Y axis, so you need to lean forward to aim at anything under you which makes you move.
I wouldn't mind so much if it the dropships were cheap but GOD DAMN!! I now know why people accept and feel sorry for 'poor dropship pilots'.
Just another notch in the reasons to not support Dust514. |

Well against infantry you can just move and shoot, getting used to the timing makes it pretty easy... Against tanks you are usually watching them run away so remain in full view... Against other dropships, if they aren't too stupid to dance then just don't waste more shots than it takes to chase them off. |

I tend to lean back to shoot things underneath me or better yet just land on them, its a highly satisfying way to kill, other then that gotta agree with everyone else here ADS take hours of practice, I suggest queuing on the oceanic server its often dead after downtime. |

you have to take more into account than simply stabilishing and leading the target, you also need to factor in the lag between hitting R1 and the missile actually firing, it does make a difference.

everything was just easy for me, in a few seconds i ajusted to the reticle reseting
2 exiles assault rifles,
