This of course doesn't need to be implemented in domination or skirmish as they don't have the same spawning problem as ambush; however it could be as another WP reward so instead of calling in an OB you could pick an OS allowing your squad to choose to spawn in an area you pick for up to a minute or something like that.
Pretty sure this existed at one point, lots of the early dust videos showed functionality like this. Using WP to call it in would be a cool way to do it. How about implement the Command RTS mode they used to talk about that spends the total team pool of WP like money. They would use these to call in orbitals, turrets, resupply depots, and setup drop pod type spawns in tactical locations around the battlefield. You could add a bunch of other different stuff that could be called in as well.

The Command RTS mode would be great if it's limited to using total squad WP instead of total team WP. Nobody wants some blueberry to waste the WP's their squad earned; whether it's some guy dropping stuff where he needs it even though it's needed more elsewhere or if it's just some troll out to waste stuff. Now in FW if they implement implement a team deploy or in PC, sharing a team pool wouldn't be so bad because you actually have a whole team working together; but it'd just get too frustrating in a regular pub match.
Yeah I wouldn't vote to have any real command mode in a pub match since its more just the place people go to have light matches for ISK. Id like to see the command mode be a dedicated role. Not have someone out on the battlefield, you'd have one person overlooking the battle top down, dropping stuff for their team to use. This would separate personal desire and personal battlefield uses that dont really help your team (I want an orbital to drop on my location because I'm surrounded, not because its best for the team). A truly dedicated role would mean you would want have more a prerogative for the entire team to win. Maybe make an LP or SP payout much higher for winning in command mode, and non existent for losing. In FW you could have it randomly nominate someone in team until someone accepts, and in PC you could pick the person.
