So I just got my 25 free Woundriots and I took it out for a spin. I am disgusted.
Before I go farther, let me expand on myself. I have 13 mil sp, 2 proto basic frames, Proto AR with prof 2, Proto ScR with prof 3, RR to ADV, most of my core maxed and proto hmg and forges. I have a measily 1.15 kdr as well, not that it means anything.
I ran an ADV amarr basic frame with 2 complex damage mods and one basic armor plate and I was appalled by how "easymode" it was. I sneezed at things and they died, heavies dropped like old broken toys and I wasn't even trying to be thoughtful or tactical about my engagements. What shocked me the most was how it was doing everything my ScR does, without any points into it. The DPS is ungodly and there are little to no downsides for using it. I ended up topping the leaderboard of the losing team going 17/8 with 1400 wps.
No wonder this thing is FoTM. I hope 1.8 tones this thing down, because its got a little too much bang for it's buck.
Oh and I really wish they'd change the ingame model. Makes me feel like I'm playings "Space CoD".

Agreed, I can do the same with a std scram rifle, but I actually have to think about how I engage my targets. That overheat limits the amount of carnage you can produce in a short period, while the CR is limited only by its magazine size, which is negligable at best. I also agree that all the rifles need reworking, the game is getting stale with just 4 dominant weapons.

No I know they are less useful and cost too much. However Basic Heavy is better for FG'ing, and I have ADV Sentinel and Gal scout. My Proto Basic medium frame is from a period of overzealousness when uprising first launched.
EDIT: +1 for Atiim for speaking the truth about aesthetics. Can't wait till we can custom color our dropsuits, if ever.

Reav Hannari wrote:Should I start a thread about how easily the Scrambler Rifle melts my suits, generally in one shot? I trained the SR to operation level 3 to check it out and was picking off targets at long range with little effort. If you get into the optimal of my CR, which is shorter than everything except the AR, then you better one-shot me. Don't get me started on the Rail Rifle. Once that beast spools up then I better be hiding behind something.
The Amarr, Caldari and Minmatar frontline rifles are very effective right now in their ranges. The Gallente rifle is now the weakest of the bunch but is still deadly in the right hands.
Where did I mention my suits getting melted? Trust me, I know what it's like getting melted in a scout suit, I moonlight as a NK'er which is a masochistic pasttime at best. I'll agree with you on the RR for the most part, l personally feel the spool up time should be between shots, much like how a real rail gun would operate.
