So, to play dust requires constant changing of your tactics to win, for example I was totally a scout who ran and hacked stuff. And defended it. Then 1.7 came along and tanks were everywhere and I couldn't get caught on open field, then all my installations were getting blown up, then everyone started running heavies with cr/rr.
Well after much trial and error, i have figured it out. Buy a militia tank, get it out before anyone else, blow up all installations to leave your team defenseless, (hey, its 100 EACH and only 3 shots!). Rekall tank (Whew almost lost 60K). Use BPO suit with BPO LAV to drive around everywhere there ISN'T fighting. Hack until I see a tank,..........run into tank.
Total cost 3K fitting.
Total WP about 900 - 1400 depending on how fast i get my tank out
Completely screwing over my team defenses and not helping with assault - Priceless
I suppose one could argue that me taking out tanks is helping my team, but I am only doing it for the 175 points honestly. I can stand that well against anything other than another militia tank and it comes down to who has there hardeners off cool down so I am not taking any chances. I could use a gunnilogi to more effectively kill infantry but then I would lose out on blowing up installations faster than the other guy,
See, I took to the forums (silly me) to ask tankers to stop blowing up installations but I realized I'M the idiot, thats like yelling at a kid to stop eating ice cream. So I adapt and overcome.
Also Jihad Jheeps gave me a great idea, (I am so original) I created a militia speed fit (Minimatar light) with double kin kats and RE's, that way on a DOM match where A is inside a meat grinder, I just suicide run in and throw them all around, its like christmas, like a little mini warbarge strike.

Whoa Aszazel, whoa there, just you hold on an apple picking second! I'll have you know I've been playing Dust for over a year now using the same tactics.
1. Spawn.
2. **** face with an HMG
4. Die because I forget I'm not a god(yet)
5. Repeat steps 1-4 until match is over
As you can see I cannot count. That being said; this has worked out pretty well so far, so don't you start telling me what to do.

Good Sir, I am not trying to tell anyone how to play this festering turd of a game I cannot seem to stop playing, I am simply writing a guide this months' flavor and how to try and get all the goodies you can. See I was getting disheartened running Logi, had to join a squad if you want those intel kill points and run with a bunch of teenagers trying to hit on each other and invariably someone screaming in the background for one reason or the other, OR loud music! Almost forgot about that!. So I started to try and play solo, and my WP went from 1200 to like 600. So I was simply providing a selfless guide of my own experiences on how to squeeze the most poo from the game. This way you can feel all the rage of many different aspects, like jihad jheeps! My tactic is I started 2 months ago and have to deal with d*ckheads that have been playing since beta before I even knew the game existed and now I have to try and catch up but its useless and the most fun I have in this game is creating a new character everyday and just play in academy battles cause everyone is on level footing but then I will never amass anything cause I can't transfer thales or anything else from one character to another, not even trying the whole player market, seriously, why can't I at least transfer from one toon to another, its not like they can use it tip they have the crazy SP requirements.
So yea. I just saw red and don't know what I typed, I am bad at reading so I am not going to reread over that, I'll just call it good. And it wasn't red, more orangey red. |
