If every player had access to a basic proto frame maybe an assault I think new player retention would be much higher. New players who have excellent FPS skill will have a much better chance to compete with us 25+ million SP vets without having to get destroyed for a solid month. It would also teach them about ISK efficiency much sooner and pubs would be more competitive. I personally would love if those militia cardari assaults were replaced my proto caldari medium frames, pubs would be a lot more fun.

Eh, not a fan of having a protosuit that is simply free of SP, but
Proposal for a redesigned dropsuit command skill tree
Players would be able to get their first proto suit within the first week, but it would still take just as long to get a fully maxed out suit as it does now.

ISK, it would be a paper thin suit with out the core skills but it would still be better then a militia suit.

I like your way of thinking, but I think this is more of a simple solution to a more complex problem.
People complain about Proto users in pubs, why? Cause they cant use it yet, or cant afford to use it as frequently. On the flip side of that, the proto users did the grind and the time to earn that gear so why stop them from using it? There needs to be more of a consequence for using Proto Gear. Back in Chrome if you killed a guy in Proto you felt good cause you know you just cause them a small fortune, where as now its like whatever to them.
With gear refund that came with the launch of Uprising a huge fluctuation occurred in the economy of Dust. The player-base had more money, but the prices didnt really change that much. There needs to be a balance to that. Im not saying up the price of proto gear but something needs to be done in order to make people think twice before using Proto gear.
On a side note, since 1.7 I have seen less proto around. Could be due to the increase of Tank use across the player base. |

I agree but thats gonna take a complete remodel of the skill tree, my idea could be done with a hot fix and just be temporary till tiercide happens.

Even if you give them a proto suit, without the skills and modules, You've given them nothing. Matchmaking needs to be fixed, but there aren't enough players for that to work out well for everyone. |

What do you guys mean by tiercide? Is that basically like tier 1 Basic/MLT and tier 2 ADV? |
