I normally look for the non generic anime out there. But it's tough. I've actually considered trying to make my own anime, call it "generic (insert genre here) anime". Like generic action anime, where they would spend 5 episodes powering up and sounding like they're on the crapper, and spend the next 6 episodes talking crap to each other, then the last 2 episodes are the good ones where the fighting gets intense and they finally finish. also generic romance anime, where some wimpy nerd kid has twelve gorgeous babes all chase after him for some inexplicable reason, and when one gets him alone on a romantic moonlit night and confesses her feelings, time suddenly stops and a random sloth avatar ghost appears telling him to go the distance. And he somehow isn't willing to do it because he's a "gentleman", and then the sloth breaks out her Bio, which shows her having attended yoga classes since 9 years old, and rides horses. And then he is torn between choosing the generic turn of events where he respectfully declines, or he chooses what an actual guy would do and run back to his car for condoms.

Why is the War Room....not a real war room anymore? It's just anime
