What sort of fitting requirement do they have? Especially for the damage module? I would tend to go in favour of what is more CPU/PG efficient, unless of course in your case the CPU/PG is expendable.
I like the Ion Cannon, I don't have to waste time activating at module nor do I have to risk the potential of the module glitch which prevents you from firing.

For isk efficiency neutron blaster. Also it allows for upgrades to some of the other modules. I assume you mean one damage mod? I've tried two, but have found that I prefer the nitro + 'whatever' for maddys.
It is possible with all basic modules to have an Ion Cannon and a damage mod. with the appropriate fitting optimizations of course.

well i saw you tearin it up with your ion cannon yesterday so i guess stick with that. it's really more of a matter of how much AV ability you want bc a std blaster will take out infantry just fine.

lol, really? i'd like to see if you can get more than 10 kills with a rail while brawling at blaster range.
When you can hit infantry at least 33% of the time with a rail, then you can talk ****. Until then, you're a scrub for talking about rails that way.

Unfortunately Char few players can brawl with Railguns.
Its amazingly awesome to brawl in CQC with rails but most players find the nearest Redline Mountain and snipe....that is undeniably scrubby.

I resort to rails if I am hoplessly out numbered. Its the revenge cannon. I am finding the neutron w/dmg mod cuts like butter though. I wish I had more cpu/pg.

I can get forge gunners, its those really thin guys I have trouble with. I haven't needed a dmg mod on the rails, if you don't overheat 9shots can smoke about anything.

believe it or not, a particle cannon will often out DPS an Ion Cannon because its damage is consistent no matter the range.
I pride myself on my railgun abilities.

netron blaster + damage mod = greater firepower than an ion cannon - damage mod .
I prefer to run ion cannons with no dmg mod but bring out the shredder for tough tanks.
Its gone from suck .....to blow
