Nearly right. It's a first person TEAM BASED shooter.
When I play as a sniper, I'm more likely to be nearer to the opponents redline than my own.

Nearly right. It's a first person SQUAD BASED shooter. Almost Lol Team Actually, I was right. It's team based with the team supposed to be broken down into squads. Whether you have squads or not, you always have a team and you win or lose as a team.

You mean sometimes people are put in at the start of matches? It's been so long I've forgotten what that was like.

Looking at pure stats, would you rather have the guy with a 2.0 kdr and 10 kills, or a .5 kdr and 1000?
The first one. Since the second one has found an exploit that lets them die 500 times in a match and is probably going to get banned.

You don't lose just because you weren't in the best squad on the team. I get your point and all, but it's possible to win a game with all solo randoms. Usually only when the opposing team is solo randoms as well (or absolutely useless) but it's possible.
When I play as a sniper, I'm more likely to be nearer to the opponents redline than my own.

playing without caring about your KDR often isn't profitable though. KDR is a measure of isk efficiency within the game and should be acknowledged as such.
there is an equilibrium that needs to be reached where you have a balanced KDR(you're profitable) and you play the objective as well.
Well, the last match I was in I had a fatal error before I got to see my KDR so I don't know what that was. But the one before I got a KDR of 7. Does that mean I'm better than the people who got 20-30 kills but a KDR lower than 7?
What if I add that I didn't die at all so I only got 7 kills?
How about if I add that my KDR is usually around 1 or less? (Although that does include me being killed multiple times)
When I play as a sniper, I'm more likely to be nearer to the opponents redline than my own.
