The popular Poll is interesting, but it is easily manipulated. So, how is a reader to know which candidates deserve their attention, and which are just getting their friends or alts to sway the poll results? How can a player casually interested in the Election get an idea of which candidates to take seriously without reading through 500 posts in 20 threads? Well, one way would be to get the options of the hard core Election Junkies who have read all those 500 posts and formed informed opinions on the qualifications of the candidates.
In this thread I will be asking for feedback from those GÇ£ExpertsGÇ¥, the Election Junkies who have combed through all of those candidacy threads. To be included on the list of experts you have to post your assessment of the qualifications of each candidate, and have posted in a meaningful way in at least 5 of the candidacy threads. Members of CPM0 will be assumed to be experts.
What to do:
Copy and paste this list. Change the (Undecided) to (Yes) if you would recommend people consider that candidate for CPM; or to (No) if you feel the candidate is either not qualified, or has not yet shown themselves to be qualified. Leave it as (Undecided) if you are on the fence or have not yet studied their platform. Go back and edit your post if you change your mind, or new candidates join the race.

I am trying to be fair in my coverage of this election, but I have decided not to be impartial. After thinking about it I have determined that I would best server the community by sharing my opinions. So here is my assessment on the candidates I would recommend and the ones I would not.

After spending close to an hour combing through all the candidacy threads the only contribution I could find for Mossellia Delt outside of his own candidacy thread was a negative comment directed at Radar R4D-47 for not mentioning the NPE in his original post.

To be fair when allowing candidates to vote in the Experts poll I must count them all the same way. I can either not count their vote on their own candidacy, or count them as a Yes vote on their candidacy. Sorry, when this continued to drag on without the election officially being announced I took a bit of a break. Actually I took a bit of a break from the forums in general and read a few books instead. For the sake of my sanity and with the objective of sticking with this for the long term, it helps to every once in a while take a bit of a break and read a book.
I am back now, and will try to read over your candidacy thread when I get a chance.
The post for you in the Popular Poll thread ended up on the second page. When the Election forum is created and candadacies are made official, I will bump the ones who are no longer running and move you up to the first page. I donGÇÖt what to do that just yet though, as things could change. At the rate this is going, for instance Spartacus Dust might actually get his passport before CCP gets around to officially calling the election.

Appia Vibbia, you have only posted in your own candidacy thread. There is nothing wrong with that, but I canGÇÖt accept you as an expert on the other candidates without some sort of proof.
I know requiring five posts is sort of arbitrary, but I needed some sort of measurable criteria to insure that my GÇ£ExpertsGÇ¥ were actually following many of the campaigns.

Saying GÇ£why yes. IGÇÖve read this,GÇ¥ does not actually prove that you have read it. Giving a thought out response to something that was written does show that you have read it. Otherwise you would not be able to respond in context.
It is the strict criteria which separates the experts poll from the popular poll.

I think I will create a new post for the Experts Poll in the Election forum when the election is called. While compiling the list I realized that some of the Experts have not updated their lists. This is not fair to newer candidates such as Appia Vibbia, Pokey Dravon, Zatara Rought and Adelia Lafayette.
I would like to include Appia Vibbia as an expert if one other person who qualifies as an expert can vouch for her. Soraya Xel has already vouched for her. It is my understanding that she is more active on Skype than on the forums, and that she is familiar with the other campaigns, but I need to confirm that.
Also in the new Experts Poll, I will only be asking people to endorse candidates. I will not be asking which candidates you donGÇÖt think should get in.

I donGÇÖt think I have a commentary on all of my top 11 yet. It is a lot of work. You might notice the earlier ones are a lot longer. I started running out of steam. Your idea of having a one liner to describe each candidate is starting to seem appealing now that I think about it.
