ah ha i see. is there a step that involves the modem or playstation settings maybe? i mean ive tried swinging those around by the cable but it tends to leave me in a worse off position. |

reseting is for the cache right? i heard that was due to memory leaks and was fixed, no? apparently that shouldnt work anymore \/O\/
i reset prior if its a ringer and in the warbarge if its ours. it doesnt seem to work for ringers, tho. i think it makes a difference if its me going in alone over under a squad lead.
one thing is that our router is supposed to prioritize the bandwidth or something for gaming.. ive been wondering if its doing it automatically and giving bunny the bandwidth. i dont expect you guys to comment on that, tho. |

CCP has never fully fixed memory leaks even in EVE. Has never been one of their strong suits. Resets help almost every computer program there is...following that logic it would help. DUST save files are said to contribute, yet some have never deleted them. Otherwise it's the same ol tricks with the PS3.. Here let me find a link... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfC2xnOEEHcThat combined with a SSD will peak out your PS3 with a 10mb/sec connection(Ps3 is capped at 10mb/s) Otherwise players feel entitled to blame CCP and I think rightly so, we have optimized our systems and available resources with the PS3 usually as good or beyond any other game has needed to be competitive.
yeeeeup i remember eve lag. vividly. like a slideshow of a vacation but its me losing my ship.
doc told me about the ssd.. i heard they cant clear data and have to be reformatted tho.. what a pita,, but its nice to have options tho.
im going to apply these settings in the youtube link. if anything theyll probably make pubs smoother minimum right :) thanks.

ive changed my ps3 settings and have noticed a difference in pub matches.( on a side note it made last of us look like it was on n64) i havent gotten to try it vs a team with actual players on it yet (no shows ftl), but if its making a difference in pubs then it will in pc i figure. thanks a lot!
back when i played eve, i had my audio always muted. it made the game lag less and tbh the sound of autocannons going off wasnt to thrilling.. i heard somewhere on the forums that it might work here too... but i worry about not hearing things like shotguns and nova knives.
does anyone do this? is there some way to have the best of both? (like turning the announcers voice off) |
