Stamina should be removed from the game, it's useless and limiting really. The only reason I see for the existence of stamina is to limit bunny hopping, but that can be without stamina.
So know we have this useless bar that drains overtime but nothing to drain it. Hmm... I have an idea let's have all our electrical equipment drain this bar much so that exceeding the recharge capacity of the bar it gains a negative drain and limits their usage to the maximum capacity limit. Let's call this bar Capacitor.
Any equipment that has a constant "running" effect for no cost will now drain the capacitor, the list of such items are: repair tools, active scanners, nanite injectors, shield rechargers, shield regulators, armor repairers, passive armor and shield repair, and weapons other than missiles and projectile.
There will be two factors to Capacitor recharge and capacity. The Capacitor slowly charges over time, as your modules run the Capacitor recharge time is reduced until drained. In EVE capacitor is measured in Gigajoules, we will measure ours in kilo joules.
How will it work?
Equipment:
Injector when you "inject" somebody you drain your capacitor slightly, the efficiency of your injector will determine how much capacitor you drain. The stronger the injector the more the drain.
Repair tool will reduce your capacitor recharge to the point where if any of your modules activate like shield repair or armor repair, your capacitor recharge may or may not peak and begin to drain.
Scanner using it will drain your capacitor, active date will reduce your recharge.
Modules:
Biotic will not drain capacitor, they affect the human? Not the machine.
Repairers/Rechargers: they will reduce your capacitor recharge, the more repairs you have the lower the recharge. Shield repair will be inefficient and will use the most capacitor recharge but are the highest repair, using a recharger increases the recharge but also increases capacitor drain. Armor repairers are the most efficient but also the lowest.
Weapons:
Every weapon except projectile and missile will drain capacitor. When the Capacitor limit is reached it will jam/overheat. All weapons will start at 0 capacitor usage as sustained fire continues the drain will increase until it overloads the recharge and drain the Capacitor. Single shot weapons will fire at max recharge, I.e they will drain Capacity. Benefit of single shot weapons is that your capacitor can recharge in between shots.
When I run out then what? You're F%@&ked.
When your Capacitor is drained two things will happen. Your weapons will jam, and your modules will stop. Since stamina isn't an issue you can sprint to safety and wait for your Capacitor to recharge or you can continue battling if your using a projectile weapon.
How is Capacitor distributed?
All races will recharge Capacitor at the same rate. Meaning higher capacitor = Longer time until full.
Amarr: Highest Capacitor (I just gave you the Scrambler bonus back) Gallente: High Capacitor Caldari: Low Capacitor Minmatar: Lowest

You can do this without stamina. Although the post is mainly to shift stamina to capacitor I could really careless if stamina exists or not lol

I can somewhat do this on my Scout though, proto cardiac regulator does wonders... im only at adv regs, but i do run two comkats and a adv reper so idk if i could ever with proto. |

So at it's heart, you want to remove Stamina and make everything reliant on a single powercore usage as in EVE?
As stated, except for Projectiles and Missiles.. like EVE.
I have difficulty applying this mentality to DUST because 1) This is Not EVE) and 2) Our weapons are not 'linked' to our suit. Stamina is designed only to affect running and jumping, not everything else also.
The idea that I could run my 'Capacitor' down repping someone then not be able to run to get away from hostiles, (or run toward to kill) makes me even less inclined to rep someone. Same can be said of firing off your Assault Rifle, if it burns Capacitor... tyhen during a prolonged fight you will be unable to effectively disengage, or engage at closer proximity... giving advantage to a) people who use Combat Rifles and SMGS (possible Flaylocks since they are Minmatar) over any other weapon (I wont bring missiles into it as they are currently AV Only from an Infantry Perspective), and b) people who play as solo slayers who don't try to help people out.
It also adds more modules to the possible suit line up since if you have this single statistic, you MUST be able to influence it somehow.
You state that every suit recharges Capacitor at the same rate, but even in EVE this isn't true. Deficiencies in Capacitor in EVE are racial to compensate for their weapon and choice of tank. Active Shield Designs generally have a vastly different 'designed' profile to Armor Tankers that designed to use Lasers.
For vehicles, I can see a Capacitor System being instituted, but I would rather keep stamina as an effect on 'Physical Exersion' that have my clone powered by some cybernetic implanted power core. (Something that also, doesn't fit with the Lore of the New Eden Universe, as the clones we have are heavily genetically modified and augmented, rather than cybernetically enhanced.)

I do not want stamina removed it's just a title, it's blunt and brings attention and the basic idea is to just use the stamina bar or something similar to house the Capacitor. If our weapons are not linked to our suits why do they use CPU/PG? As for repairs you only bring down your recharge if you switch to a gun your recharge would reset back to normal... it might be detrimental but not putting the penalty would make me feel like I am giving it favoritism, same for the injector. As for the recharge and capacity I strayed from giving any racial profiles as I do not know the best possible profiles for each race. So in simplest terms scaled capacity and equal recharge is the best I came up with. As for the Minmatar weapons I figured a reduction in effectiveness vs other weapons might help, aside from that I thought that maybe the should use Cap also.

All equipment and weapons, and modules already tap into the power grid of the suit. Your idea of a capacitor is redundant and would be a hinderance of fun. |

I just don't see capacitor providing enough value for the added complexity. DUST is a lot more twitchy than EVE, there's a lot more to pay attention to and a fraction of a second can make a huge difference. You could possibly make an argument for it on vehicles, but even there I'm ambivalent at best.
