I just want to understand how the Med Frame HP race affected scouts and if its being reversed or thanks to the new slots , worsened... First Question: What kind of scout are you? 1 - E-War Specialist (uses more than -+ of their slots for Dampening/Precision/R.Range) 2 - Light Profile-Dampened Assault (Usually Tanked. used as an assault fit with minimal E-war advantages) 3 - Speed Tanker (using 2 or more Complex Kin cats.)(to complement CQ weapons most of the times...) 4- New Breed (Will be a dedicated scout for the first time in 1.8) 5- Other (please specify - stupid answers are to be avoided if possible) Second Question: What Kind of weapon do you prefer killing with? 1- Light weapons 2- Sidearms 3- Nova Knives 4- R/E or Grenades Last question: What Scout Dropsuit will you use as MAIN after 1.8 hits? 1-Gallente / Best Profile Dampened suit + Good Radar Range 2-Caldari / Best Passive Scanner capabilities + Good Radar range/Precision 3-Minmatar / Best Nova Knifer in the game + Good for infiltration purposes with Bonus to hacking 4-Amarr / Small Stamina Bonus + Good Base Stats. I run my 'Dren' scout with two militia dampeners when I'm not in my vehicles (because I have no skills in infantry). However, now that I have my vehicle skill where I want them, I will be venturing into the world of scouts post 1.8. 1. Shotguns are a blast (pun intended) and CRs are the easiest to fit and I love using them. NK and REs are gimmicky and I use them for laughs. I usually can't fit grenades and side arms are outclassed by light weapons. Probably Caldari. I love the scan range skill, the all round dampening buff, scan precision skill will be ok, I guess, and the shield reps are great. Dropship Specialist Kills- Incubus: 4; Pythons: 2 Gêå1; Other DS: 28 Gêå1; Tanks: 29 Gêå2 1/20

(1 enhanced precision, 1 enhanced damp and 1 enhanced cardiac regulator) A mix of NK, SMG, RE and CR. Shotty every now and then depending on map. Idk it's a tie but I use REs on all my suits. I'll be using Minmatar. I prefer the speed style gameplay from my love of racing games, to when I made basketball players on 2K and my fascination with Bruce Lee and Jet Li. (fast and controlled FTW) I'll try out Min Heavies too but will mostly stay with Min Assault and Min Scout. (wish my sidearm bonus was still there :( sidearm is my favorite main gun sometimes)

Not to mention the fact that they don't slow you down that much on a scout lol His normal fitting is 1 complex extender, 2 plates, 1 repper, 1 sprint mod, a duvolle, and an injector. That's enough to avoid non-aurum adv active scanners (36 db). I frequently use a super cheap build, and variations of it, and achieve 10+ kills and WP of 1000+ Basic dropsuit MIlitia Minmitar Light Frame Militia Scrambler Pistol Militia Scrambler Pistol Flux Grenade Militia Drop Uplink Militia Profile Dampener Militia Codebreaker Play Pointers Avoid open spaces and if spotted, let enemies come to you while you take cover. Secure an area and hack everything starting with reanimation units. Drop the uplink in a secure area nearby so that if you get killed then you don't have to traverse the map to get back. Grow accustomed to counting your bullets and swapping weapons as soon as your primary is out, or one bullet before. Always keep your pistols loaded. Grundstein Automation

I could say for the most part as it is,that scouts have a decent variety of play styles... Also, many people looking to achieve Optimal Speeds seem to have presence here. Recently I pulled out the dragonfly scout and went to town again with a shotgun and kin cats , I had mixed results. The only time I can seem to hit or do enough damage with the shotgun is when people are point blank, like the end of my shotgun is touching them. People can just backpedal and move out of range very easily if they see you. With the advent of scanners it really kills stealthy gameplay and my suit just cant have speed and dampening. I already have such a small amount of hit points.

I mostly run a rep based scout, keeping with the idea behind the scout back in beta being a hit and run scrapper rather than a ninja. My fittings will see a lot of improvement in 1.8 for obvious reasons (dat Caldari scout/dem Gallente reps). As for weapons, Shotgun or Combat Rifle, and I almost never use a sidearm outside of PC. I'm good with a ScP, but I always find myself going back to the shotgun.

Works pretty well as long as I know when to retreat. In 1.8 I will specialise in full damped Gal-Scout with enhanced range/precision to get rid of my scanner. In open maps I will run assault, because it's more viable than a HP-tanked scout 2nd place in EU Squad Cup Master Shinobi

I switch fittings once the bulk of the group appears and go for Logi or Frontline. 1 - I got myself an AR and use it to murder people commando-style while holding objectives. I may start experimenting with less stamina for more armor regeneration for situations when I'm already at the objective. 1 - I have a Gallente character with mostly Gallente fittings (Except for my almost maxed out sniper rifle). And Profile Dampening + Radar Range is exactly what I need for defending objectives.

I may or may not end up liking the caldari scout, I suppose. and I try to rotate what I use every few weeks to not get bored. I used to use pistols/knives. But then I swapped to pistol/pistol because of the ammo. And then I started to blow things up more Then I discovered assault railrifle, and LOVED it... but its too expensive, AND fitting-hungry, for me to run it all the time then on my alt for operation shinobi, I discovered how well CR+knives work.... so it's an ongoing thing.
