Personally, I think Dust 514 items should be manufactured with the same materials as EVE Online items. It would make it a bit harder for CCP to manage prices for the two games separately, but the strengthened relationship between Dust 514 and EVE Online would definitely be worth it.

Ecologists study, and occasionally help, ecologies. Economists study, and occasionally help, economies.
Neither of them are the brains behind what they are involved with, however.

Did they just let loose and have the players figure it out? Was it constantly changing things and taking things away? I would like to have this figured out so we can progress. The EVE economy isn't "great", per se, but it's by far the largest non-simulated virtual economy ever to exist.

Once both economies reach equilibrium, the taxation can then be dialed down until both economies share equal value of ISK. EVE has far more players than Dust 514, so why should both games have equivalent ISK value?
