I know you all are having fun, trying to hit your caps in this bonus SP week (which some of you already have, props to you guys  ), but I was wondering... what would be the best game mode to accumulate all that SP faster, Dom, Skirm, or Ambush?
Ambush does regularly end quickly, but I'd usually get 4,000+ SP from it (not to mention easy ISK from constantly doing Ambush) while Doms usually take the time of three Ambushes while obtaining 10,000+ SP at the end of it.
So, any tips?

Play Skirmish, hope you get a map with a lot of turret installations, call in an HAV as quickly as possible. On Border Gulch I've been able to get 1300 WP in the first couple minutes purely from installation destructions.

That's going to take you three times longer this time around.
But I guess that doesn't make a difference when you're totally engrossed in Hello Kitty Online while you're AFKing Dust, amirite?

I've experimented thoroughly when I first started playing.
Personally, SP wise, per hour, Skirmish and Ambush is about the same but it tends to lean too skirmish if you are decent player. The difference is, I actually get more WP per hour through Ambush than I do Skirmish. I also get significantly more ISK per battle in ambush than Skirmish.
Ambushes offer me a lot more than just SP so I go for ambush. If nothing else matters but SP than skirmish might be the best for you. If you are like me and enjoy the ISK from destorying protos with a sub 10k ISK fit, the slight increase in hourly WP, and the fire fight experience then I would suggest ambush. |

I played doms. Assuming you can consistently get above 2000 WP per game, you should be able to cap out in about 11.5 hrs. I managed roughly 50000 SP per hour, and capped out on a single 1-day booster :) |

Domination: less time than Skirmish, more SP than Ambush.
FW: much time than Domination and Ambush, more SP than Domination and Ambush aswell. But, no ISK payment.
Ambush: quick battles, but less ISK payment and less SP than others.
Finally I got a girlfriend!

Doms is what I've been doing, I managed to cap in 2 days with and active omega geting around 25 to 35k SP a match. Its awesome!

Ambush. Get 20kills and you get 5k sp.i usually get more so its usually about 7-10k sp in bout 3-5 minutes

Play Skrimish/Dom
Get a logi.
Aquire WP as fast as you possibly can. Follow a heavy for lotsa points.
I did this with a full squad and 2 heavies. I got over 4k WP and around 40k SP (Gotta love those omega boosters) from one round.
Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face.

well i've played actively and afk'd and majority of time i've not seen much of a difference (activly usually get 2000+/- wp) so i'm just afk'in with my omega booster while watching tv. far less stresfull than playing amarrheavywitharailrifleinatank 514

own a pc district use your training corp to attack yourself do not hack any of the objectives or installations and score wp by placing nanohives and having your team mates spam grenades in nobodys general direction, just ask what the french how to exploit the game

I had some omegas saved. So i paired that with hav and logi and have gotten 24k sp in skirm and dom. run hav to installations kill some ranks, die go logi placing GOOD uplinks and revive.

Recommend DOM...
Skirmishes are longer matches but still on average result in same gains as DOM, depending on you of course.
Ambush's I find myself walking in front of other peoples firing to catching the last killer shot (rude I know, but hey, tactics are tactics). And fighting for kills, I like the 80 kill ones and the 50's are just too quick. |
