I thought I respected you... That was until I received some hate mail after I congratulated a squad or so of you guys for losing a pub match and running proto gear... I almost burst out laughing when I saw the mail come across...

Congrates and GG

In the past year, I've sent literally hundreds of GGs to other players.

I've only been met with a snarky response once.... from AddictPunk in Nyian San.

We make it a point to send GG after our PC matches -- win or lose. It's the sporting thing to do, I think. I also make it a point to do so to noteworthy players on the other team even when pubbing.

Personally, I never make excuses or harp on what happened in the match -- as you've indicated that type of discussion can be interpreted negatively and works against the intent of the GG in the first place.....

It is NEVER intended to be insulting, and I'm sorry if you've taken any of our (or mine) in that way.

p.s. I know many of us sent your team GGs last night (including me) after you whooped us, so I hope your comments were not related to last night's match. :)

Did any of you play sports, remember lining up at the end of the match to shake hands.. reagardless of how you played?

How is this different? Nobody should be "afraid" to send a GG because you might get butthurt over it.

There was one game where we beat the other team handidly, even though they played dirty. One of those punks sucker punched our captain in the middle of the line... guess what happened, him and the rest of his team got their ass kicked.

Interesting. So based on that statement who is at fault, the guys giving the GG"s or the butthurt baddies who cant take it and lose control of their emotions?

You guys won the first two rounds, then we brought in FA who I understand took the third round.

The first round was kind of close (or at least close by AE/ML standards, lol). The second one you beat us a bit more handily. I was not in the third round so can't comment, outside I was told we (FA) won.

After one of the rounds I played in, I sent GG to the guy across from me on the leaderboard (as is our policy), and we exchanged a few e-mails back and forth about the match -- very cordial. I'm sorry but I don't recall who the player was, but I didn't recognize him as one of your regulars.

Again, while I can understand how you might become incensed by a GG after a personally-unimpressive match, but that's not our intent in any way, shape or form. It's simply our view of good sportsmanship that compels us here -- just like shaking the hand of the baseball players I used to go up against in high school.

Why do guys feel superior when their squad wins a pub match though? I could be my myself and lose and some salty dude would send a message saying, "You were using proto gear and you still lost". As if I can carry the whole team because I'm using proto gear.

that's why when guys talk trash that shouldn't, you respond with a concord message.
