I guess its burn out, but I have no interest to play this game right now, even though there's is this event going on. I thought events were supposed to get people to play more, but I'm not feeling it.
Anyone feel the same?

I've been playing a little....I played all day Wednesday, first time since 1.7 came out.
The problem I'm running into is the game has a fatal error and crashes or totally freezes right as the game ends so I don't get credit for anything but still lose the fittings for the times I've died :-/ |

I'm playing at the exact same pace as usual, 1-4 games a day to just stay active. It's the usual stomp-or-be-stomped cycle of the casual player.
Free, on-demand Respecs. Because it doesn't matter and no one should care.

It's that time of the year again for everyone to bring out their proto gear and farm WP/SP. Matches are a whole lot harder in this event if anyone else actually noticed, especially for those who don't like wasting proto stuff in pubs.

The last triple SP cap event we got I was feeling pretty burnt out too and didn't get but maybe 20,000 SP that whole week.
This time however I already hit the cap

I was getting ROFLSTOMPED maybe the first 36 hours but then then it stopped and since has been no different to any other week. Been having some good matches.
Totally ready for 1.8! Not going to jump on the lame ass bandwagon of being cynical and pessimistic. Go CCP!

I've been trying to cap out but the increased lag, increased amount of both blaster tanks and ***** red line rail tanks, and increased amount of try hards proto stomping in pub matches is really starting to make me question why I even play this game. |

i know what you mean. some of the guys got minecraft and we've been playing the hell out of it. I get on dust to only chat with the corp but i dont play. I can't play this game anymore.
I first started this game to get away from COD style games, as in everyone using the same stuff because its easy. Every single game is filled with the gallente logis with stacked damage mods melting people at any range under 80 meters. Until there is no longer FOTM or they implement PVE I might come back to this game.
1 year and 3 months of CCP constantly screwing things up have pretty much left me thinking the dust office is where the incompetent keep their jobs.(not all of them are bad, but the ones in charge of weapons, suits, and vehicles are the main ones)
like everyone else we hope the new update will fix things, but i know now to expect everything to be broken and people to flock to that broken mechanic and use it for it months until ccp over nerfs it.
lastly, i have to state that this could be a great game, maybe even the best fps, but in the hands of CCP it wont be. they have a goldmine of feedback, suggestions, and had dedicated players to truly make it great. however, they wipe their asses with most of our ideas and implement things that no one ever asked for.
Everything I say or do has the utmost importance.

Go to feedback and requests. Its at the top of the page. All racial sentinals, commandos and scouts, plus three new weapons, gal and cal pistol and cal SMG. I think cloaks to but not sure if that's confirmed or not yet. Anyway all the stats are there. |

I'm getting 24k SP per match, that's enough for me.
But my body said "Hey, he wants to finally play DUST! ACTIVATE SICKNESS SYSTEM, DO NOT LET HIM PLAY DUST!".
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

But I pretty much always feel that way, I get the itch play maybe a dozen games over a week or so then realize nothing has changed since the last time I played months ago.
I pretty much only regularly play now for a bit after updates to see if anything fun happened.

Do these "events" still suprise you if they lack any real interaction and depth?
They shouldn't. That burned out feeling? That's the sign you have to take a break or slow playing DUST a bit down (and to.not get your hopes up). |

Try reducing your your visual prefs from high to medium if your framerate is getting low. You should get a framerate bump......wait wait do not do that....becuase I will not be able to merc your ass as easily. I have mine set to medium.
I rarely experience any lag. However, my framerate drops on that one city map with the supply underneath.
The SP event is nice. I got about 225k to go before maxxing out.
