My advise. Take what you have at your disposal, and make the most of it. If you want to rank yourself, do it in a category that nobody else is in o/

-edit- There are LOTS of other categories. CCP is storing more detailed information on our character sheets than we see in the game, you can be sure of it. Not far off you will see leaderboards that show a LOT more player driven data. Watch ::)

But, the other day I was happy just seeing my part-timing ass in the Monthly Kills board, even though it's pretty far down there. I don't get invited to PC, but I feel like that won't be much longer. If I keep putting myself on top of the Killboard against squads of AE and NS in pubs with >2:0 KDR they can't deny me forever. Or, they could and it wouldn't really matter because I'm just going to keep kicking that ass, without discrimination in every pub and factional I play. Natalie Portman.

In MW yes there was a time invested bonus, but in this game its really all you need. If you have been he since open beta and don't take a 3 month leave of absence its impossible to catch up, never mind if your not a pub stomping proto/tanker squad. The real competition in New Eden is how much of a name you can make for yourself; through the decisions, the actions and the paths you take. He started one of the biggest corporations in Dust; topping over 1600 players, which then lead to many of those players splintering off to form some of the more recently known corporations; one of which is Molon Labe. Though his enjoyment for the leadership role; (whether he likes it or not) hes made a name for himself. Ok so Dust is a FPS title that includes K/DR and W/LR but those features are only here to make FPS players feel at home and have a sense of familiarity they can relate to other titles. Being on top of the leaderboards doesn't mean anything in relation to the bigger picture of competition in New Eden. Do you want to be the person everyone loves or the person everyone hates; these are the steps you have to take to be remembered to competitively famous. Its about what impact on the community that will keep you living forever and remembered; that my friend is what being competitive is all about in New Eden not who is on top of the leaderboards! And farmed ambush for the duration that your kills didn't tally up if you didn't clone a team in Skirmish..... Stats should have been rest upon 'release', they weren't so the leaderboard remained as broken as the gameplay in closed beta, it's a shame... Well i only break 30.000 kills slightly but i am fairly well known and i am around spot 800 or something, its not the quantity that gets you noticed, its the quality ..although 13ear has both lol Winner of the EU Squad Cup "Go Go Power Rangers!" I recommend you play to enjoy the game, not grind for leader-board positions or monopoly money (ISK).
