So there's that charge thing on it. It's fine - Caldari are fond of trowing spikes at you using coils but there are 2 ways of doing this.
- The first shot doesn't require it to charge and shoots instantly when player presses the button. After the bullet leaves the gun it automatically starts to charge and when it's done the player can shoot again, once more - instantly. And so on until he's out of bullets. <----- The correct way (IMO)
- The first shot doesn't require the charge and fires instantly when the player presses the button. After the bullet leaves the gun it doesn't automatically charge. Instead it works like this - the player presses the button and it triggers a charge and fires - that way the bullet flies out of the gun after the charge. That requires people to aim in front of the target not only to lead but to lead the mechanic. The effect is the same as the first choice but the first choice is obviously much more natural and comfortable.

The bolt pistol has a charge mechanic like the rail rifle.

I had the notion that it would work as the magnum in BF4 was disappointed because of it.
Will use Bolt Pistol even if it's OP or bad.

I seem to remember working out that the bolt pistol has insane DPS...I think a short charge before the first shot fires is reasonable.

it has low dps, along with the flaylock, the armor pistols will be finisher pistols. If you use a BrScP you'll find the same trend (except the bolt doesn't have te 4.5 multiplier)
the ScP/AScP have a high dps that can be sustained, and the Ion has a large spike to serve shock and awe

My pickup on the stats is that the Ion pistol is the only one is an alt fire mode, the charged shot. The bolt pistol has a delay before firing, the same as the rail rifle, but is full auto once it starts firing. |

Bolt pistol is basically a mini railgun turret. Has a spool-up time, but its automatic after that. I think the design is fine as it is. I like the thought of having an automatic pistol.
