Just put their foot done and say we are never giving respec's... get over it. live with the history of your character and naturally progress into the new content as they add it.
This crying for a respec every single patch is never ever gonna stop until that happens... |

This crying for a respec every single patch is never ever gonna stop until that happens... It's an FPS game, not an RPG. You can stomp your feet and yell all you want, at the end of the day, this game has virtually no RPG elements. Therefore, the only role playing should be in your head. Since SP is not in your head, and almost all infantry options are being jumbled around again, respecs should come. I for one wouldn't even bother sticking with DUST, I have no interest in heavies anymore, and would just as soon put down the game then sit on all that SP that I literally only use a couple times a week, if that.
I have accepted the fate and my decisions with my character from the moment i made them.
I didn't come to the forums after or when they got changed demanding a Respecialization of my character... Stomping my feet and yelling...
That's what this is stomping and yelling demanding the game be "fair to them" but its the same people over and over for 4 months.

See you keep comming back to this point.
CCP DIDNT RESPEC VEHICLES.
They deleted whole skills from the game. Deleted whole items from the game. Changed the structures of the tree's.
It would be Impossible to go back and add the skills back into players accounts.
NOTHING LIKE THAT IS HAPPENING.
We are getting new content and the stats and bonuses are being tweaked. Skills aren't getting deleted. Items aren't getting deleted.
People think because some changes are coming to a video game that gets changed nearly every month for a year...they should suddenly be reimbursed all their skill points as if they never spent them and reallocated them as if you magically floated down to DUST with that SP, and didn't need any of it to get there in the first place.
If this was about MY sp, and feeling MY SP should count for NEW SP and skills. and that CCP owed ME racial dropsuits for a year, and it's only fair that IIIII get a respec. Or MY friends and MY self will quit DUST.
Then yes respec's make sense in DUST 514. |

Hacking bonus for min Logis is irrelevant now, and those that wish to spec out of it and into repair tools need to have that flexibility. Same goes for the new heavies, the scouts and one can only assume the rest of the medium suits who's skills are changing. I would push for a Refund but this would be very time intensive and since so much is changing already, respec us just like vehicles. When you finally introduce the new heavy weapons drop them like the RR and cr. your player base is overwhelmingly in favor of a respec, to ignore this outcry would not be advised. Exactly
Except it's been the same 100 people asking for a respec every patch for 8 months... or as long as they have played DUST.
It doesn't matter to the new players much. Most of them don;t even know whats going on or that if a 1.8 patch is even gonna happen. |

Please link where this was confirmed. Please link Dev blog, confirmed release content, and these "tweaks" you speak of. I must've missed the patch notes... The point is without knowing what they are changing, then all of this is based on speculation. If they change the suit bonuses and that in turn directly affects the modules or sp allocation (hacking and min logi) then yes, the players deserve to redistribute their sp according to the "new" set of rules. Saying live with your decisions is great, I am and have been. But this is CCP changing my decisions, and because they are initiating the change, it warrants a respec.
They have changed a lot of things on a lot of suits. This time? It affects you. When it was Nerfing the fitting abilities of the Caldari Logistics suit? sure. When it was Changing the bonuses of the Caldari Assault suit? sure.
But the hacking bonus?!?!
They have linked the suit changes and tweaks, yes? they are not final... they have said that more racial suit content is coming out?. They have not talked about removing entire variants of items and simplifying tree's like on vehicles where they removed Logistical LAV's and DS's... restructured entire tree's, removed militia items, std, proto...
No Items, weapons or skills are useless when changes occur. As anyone has been victim of a tweaked item that made it less effective, have still been able to use it to the point where it comes back(HMG?)
Suit's and items will always change and get buffed, nerfed, added to and sometimes even removed... This is the nature of a game that consistently changes, gets added to, tweaked etc.. and new content like the Rail Rifle and Combat rifle which was saved up for and naturally progressed into when it became available.. works better for the game balance, the drive to have something new to train towards, and CCP's business model of having people try out new content and or inspire to use it, reflecting on the Aurum store to help them get there.
