Shyeer Alvarin Dead Six Initiative Lokun Listamenn 101	Posted - 2014.01.23 16:43:00 - [1] - Quote Ladies and gentlemen of the DUST 514 boards, I'd like to announce that LOKUN LISTAMENN is once again looking for new corporations to join our glorious alliance. Now, for those of you that don't know what this means for you as a CEO, Alliances allow multiple corporations to form a community without needing to create all kinds of custom channels. Being part of an alliance is a lot like being part of a family, only with slightly more politics sometimes. (Or a lot, depending on how involved in the Alliance you choose to get.) Now, on to the meat and potatoes of this announcement. LOKUN DOES NOT HAVE strict rules regarding other corporations joining the Alliance. You quite literally could have a corp of a hundred people that're really bad at first person shooters and we wouldn't hammer you for it. Why? Because we're an open community. A friendly face is a friendly face, and I'd rather be shooting alongside friendly faces than faceless Bluedots. "But you're an Alliance. You -have- to have some requirements." You're right, we do. For instance, we're not likely to take on a ten man corporation due to the upkeep costs of maintaining the Alliance. It's 2 million ISK a month for each corporation that joins. We're more likely to find a corporation IN the Alliance that shares similar goals with your corporation and recommend a merger. See this for more information on that topic. All we care about is that you play the game to have fun. We don't care if you're a professional gamer or a weekend warrior. We care about the people that play the game. "Wait, are you saying we have to pay to be in your alliance?" Nope. Joining LOKUN and being part of LOKUN is completely free, both In-Game and IRL. "Well, that's pretty awesome. I've never heard of an alliance in EVE that does that." You're right. It is pretty awesome, and it's not COMPLETELY unheard of in EVE to run an alliance that way. EVE is more about sabotage, subterfuge, high-value warfare, and biding time, so there's more In-Game costs involved, particularly when it comes to Nullsec warfare. "You guys sound pretty cool. Do you have EVE Pilots I/my friends can fly with?" We do. We operate in Low-sec and Wormhole space. Operations include Industry, PVP, and PVE. "Sweet! How do I sign up?" For starters, you need an EVE pilot in your corporation that you trust well enough to put them in the CEO's chair. Once you've got that, you just go to the Alliance listings and search for "LOKUN LISTAMENN," right click us, and apply to join. "Well. I don't have an EVE pilot I trust. Does that mean I can't get in?" Nope. We understand that not all DUST corporations have EVE-Side to tag along. It's not always easy trying to manage your time between two games. We do however have our own pilots that WE trust with Alliance stuff that have alts to do this for you. Once our Pilot applies to the LOKUN Alliance, CEO is reinstated back to the previous owner and our PIlot drops out of your corporation. "Wait, you want to put a char in my corp and make him CEO? Are you ****in' crazy?" The short anwser is yes. Yes I'm crazy, and yes, if that's the only way to get you in, that's what we have to do. Joining an Alliance is a big thing with big benefits. All we ask is that you trust us enough to get you past the first hurdle. We've had numerous corporations apply to us in this fashion, and none of them have regretted it.
