Nova Knives
I have my precision enhancement up to level five, so usually even scouts at least "ghost" on my radar so I know of their presence. Whenever I get nova knifed, I'm like "HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO SNEAK UP ON ME?!"

trying to run away after knifing someone only to move at a speed comparablele to walking through concrete, then getting mowed down by a militia heavy with a proto RR.

I used to use the GEK alot. It was my baby. I was so good I could stop shooting and move on instinctually because I knew my enemy was dead. Then something odd happened, I was using proximities one match. I'm in the middle of a fire fight against 4 reds, I see 4+50s pop up and go to engage other enemies. One of the dudes I was just murdering had survived because I got a kill with the mines on some random turret gunner. I was shocked as hell when he popped out and gunned me down. I mean stunned, my mind didn't resolve all the data for the half second it took for him to kill me out of cover. WTF? Moment

Done this way too often, especially when blue dots sit on missile turrets shooting at you while you resupply, and then an enemy Rail Tank shoots... And, Yea... MCCs hurt.
One game, when I was learning to fly in 1.7 (Yea, I'm a noon pilot) I hit the MCC with a Viper, got trapped on top the MCC, received no damage from any other source... Total Damage Received- 1,658,902...

That is still the most embarrassing death I have had, right next to the times I've blown myself with my own explosives, gettting ran over by a reversing HAV and being squished under a red dot LAV being called in.

Being in a Heavy suit, defending a point solo. I take down all comers, I'm feeling invincible, 6 guys come at once, I triumph with a sliver of armor left. I back up to let my reps kick in and...wham, I'm killed by a scout, not with an SMG, SCRP or NKs...he friggin meleed me. FML |

I get upset when I die to a sniper. I also get upset when someone crushes me in an LAV.
I really get upset when I scan, think I'm in the clear, and some damn scout evades them and shoots me in the back of the head.

I like my solo time, I have to randomly quit matches and can't be on comms half the time, and I hate waiting around for matches to start, or people wanting to play FW, or whatever. I squad from time to time it's just not convenient usually so I don't bother, and I won't play DUST unless I'm having fun. Considering I despise my heavy, the only thing I have left is my dropship. So, I fly till I lose too much ISK, then I turn off the game. I won't even run BPO to recover ISK anymore lol, I'm using it as a timer. When I run out, I'll have no option but to set DUST down for a while lol

Driving my Blaster Tank and I start taking damage from a Rail Tank. Thinking it is a redline tank I hit nitrous and start looking for cover. Only to figure out moments before my tank pops that the Rail Tank was behind me and on my 6 the whole time. If I would of known he or she was right behind me I would of hit reverse, drive over the tank and have a clear shoot at his back end. Happened twice yesterday in one game...not one of my better games. |
