There is so much jealousy, hatred, and misunderstanding of a class that simply wants to help you play.
People rant about equipment spam because they don't understand that our reward is based on usage, not deployment. I can stack six nanohives in one spot, but I'll earn points only when you come for a resupply. I'll get the same reward with one as six. CCP recently fixed the memory problem so equipment no longer causes lag. So what's the problem?
You complain about uplinks, but did you consider what it would be like if you had to spawn far away and hike in after each death? Stragglers would get picked off one by one and the match would more likely end in a redline. The increased spawn times will make it a lot easier to take a point before the enemy re-spawns so it won't matter how many there are.
Yes a Logi can top the leader board, but when that happens its because he was the only one playing support for an entire team. He had zero competition for all the spawns and resupply Imagine if there were 15 Logis and one Assault. Then there would be no competition for all those kills. So why no competition? Because the vast majority want to slay, that's why. So don't complain that a Logi gets the top slot if he's the only one willing to run support for the team. He's getting points because you are benefiting. Run your own equipment if you don't want to give him points. Lay off killing for several minutes each match and carefully deploy your own equipment. Run back and forth to the supply depot. What's that? You say you don't want o spend half the match schlepping equipment and you want to shoot face? Then stop bitching about the person doing it for you.
Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. Punish Logis enough and they will go away. Remove all the fun and we will switch roles and compete with you for kills. |

they complain more about slayer logis, and rightfully so. you've got to admit, it is pretty broken that a caldari logi has some of the most cpu/pg AND the most slots AND 3 equipments AND 5 hp/s reps.
but everything is changing in 1.8, so there's no use in complaining about it now.

Really, Logis can only top the leader board when there is little to no competition.
Consider 1 Logi and 15 Assault in a simple 50 clone ambush.
There is 50x25 WP for spawns and 50x50 WP for kills. That's twice as much for you slayers as for Logis, and that happens only if everyone spawns on an uplink. There could be far less available for the Logi if people use CRUs or random spawns.
Fifteen assaults have to split the 2,500 WPs while the lone Logi gets most of the 1,250.
So why does it happen? For the same reason everybody loves to party and nobody wants to clean up. You complain that the guy cleaning up after you got all the bottle return money.
