So CCP said that you would have to hold the cloak in-hand inorder to activate it. This makes sense as it IS equipment. They also said that firing a weapon, using another equipment item, or firing your gun will decloak you.
Questions to CCP:
- Is it possible to actually switch to a different weapon/equipment item and remain cloaked?
- If you can switch weapons then is it possible to ADS and remain cloaked?
- Will you still be able to hack while cloaked?
- Will getting in a vehicle disable cloak?
- Will you remain cloaked while using your inertia dampener?
Some of these questions were asked in this thread but never got an answer

Also - can you call in a vehicle/orbital or recall a vehicle while cloaked? Can you be repaired while cloaked? And of utmost importance - does getting shot decloak you? That was hopefully answered but I misrecall if I read the answer. |

It just dawned on me that CCP also said there would be a Dev Blog on cloaks (could be why these questions have yet to be answered) is so then hopefully it comes soon.
I just hope the Dev blog is able to answer everything.

When cloaked, and there is a friendly around you do they get cloaked as well?
If so , IF they get a kill while you cloak them do you get WP ?
Can you run while using cloak ?
Is cloaking only for Mercs, or vehicles as well ?
