No, not really. Eve Online proves that not pandering to the lowest common denominator is a sound business strategy. CCP has a specific, harsh plan for DUST 514. They aren't trying to appeal to casuals necessarily. They welcome them, sure, but they aren't going to change their game design philosophy for them. That starts you down a dark path that leads to cow clickers and Candy Crush Saga.

If the point of the game is not to have fun, but to grind the **** out of the player base, there won't be a playerbase because PSN FPS players don't usually enjoy the grind.
PvE would be a nice solution to many of the "problems" you are so passionate about. Hopefully it will get announced around fanfest... but even then, if I know CCP, you will be able to backstab your fellow mercs in PvE. That will lead to more tasty tears hopefully.

I don't remember which dev said it, but back when I was playing Eve Online a dev replied to a thread about trying to keep casual players playing with, "Maybe our game simply isn't for them " Again, CCP welcomes the casual crowd, but if they find the challenge of DUST too much they are free to move on to greener pastures.

You come across as very hostile, btw. This doesn't lend much to your argument. It actually just makes you look so very butthurt. Don't get me wrong, seeing other people cry about video games brings me great joy, but I just thought you should know
