They're not on the immediate to-do list (bigger fish to fry!), but that doesn't mean we wouldn't like to implement them in some capacity in the future. Oh, of course! I just realize there's far more pressing issues right now, as you guys are clearly already aware of. I can wait. I've been waiting for a real Ace Combat game ever since that trasheap Assault Horizon, and that's probably going to be longer in coming than waiting for Fighters in Dust, given how the Beta for Ace Combat Infinity went. I'm old school Ace Combat fan too. If you want to fly in EVE universe, you should try EVE: Vakyrie witch will come at the end of this year. I'm waiting for it too!

Michael Arck wrote:It would be cool if Valkyrie could connect to both Dust and EVE worlds. You could fight in space, but then when you went to assist ground wars, your HUD or on board radar could detect wars happening on ground. Then you would "fly into the pipeline" where this would essentially be a loading screen as your jet enters into the planet's atmosphere. I imagine a short little navigation thing where a flightpath must be maintain, speeds and decreasing altitude. Once there, the game would take control. You would see roaring clouds zooming past you. This would be the loading screen as the jet goes into auto pilot to control the entry into the atmosphere. Maybe readings could show you how many mercs and what type of battle is happening. Then when loaded, you would break the clouds and see the map below you. If you want to return to the war in space, you just enter back into the pipeline vortex to make it up there They said someday Valkyrie will be also connected to Dust and EVE, but not in the beginning

Most balanced FPS game I have ever played. Every weapon had a certain niche that could be relentlessly powerful if used correctly. Granted there wasn't a whole lot of choice on weaponry in Counter-Strike, which is probably why it was easy to balance. I think a lot of people QQ in many FPS games because they pick a weapon they like and use it in the wrong way. Just like the OP about laser rifles. He's probably one of those guys that brings it into CQC and expects it to do mass mounts of damage. I think most weapons in Dust are pretty well balanced at this point if used in their proper niche. Too many players are used to CoD/BF and other various twitch shooters where weapons don't have optimal ranges. I see far too many people shooting enemies outside of their weapons optimal range in Dust. For example, if you're using a Combat Rifle don't engage a Rail Rifle user at 60 meters. More common sense, less QQ. Tactic overlay for your weapon optimal fallof range would be awesome and very informative.

If you look in the bottom left hand corner of your screen, next to your EHP HUD, there is Weapon Efficiency stats, as well as how far away the target is, that pop up when you aim at someone. Those can be used to figure out whether or not an enemy is within your optimal. I use them all the time. If its below 60% efficient I won't engage a target. WOW, I never knew that! thanks! +1 for you
