Corp battles. Would it be so hard to bring them back, seriously? I'm talking old school contract battles.

Why bring them back?

- Two teams who CHOOSE to fight eachother
- Two teams that can fight WHEN they want to fight
- Two teams that can specify rules and ISK loss/gain
- No political/meta stigma
- A chance for newer corps to integrate

In the current climate, CCP, how can you possibly expect younger corporations or specialised corporations to compete on their own terms? Not only will it cost them 36 million ISK to start a weak attack (Chump change for you and me, riches for some) but they have so many factors that limit their targets such as the forced time frames, people locking districts, and skill level itself. With PC there is ONE way for newer corporations to gain competitive experience, and that is through Planet Fight Club.

Don't get me wrong, PFC is fantastic however there are only so many districts, only so many corporations that can participate and it just isn't fair on many players. PC just isn't an option for so many corporations out there, and I feel awful for them.

Corp battles allow teams (both new and old) to organise battles of whatever magnitude they may like on their own terms. I would suggest some limitations be put in place however to prevent forms of boosting or cheating:

- No affect on statistics such as K/D. W/L or any leaderboard stats
- No ISK gain OTHER than the contract issued.
- No SP gain (perhaps 1000 SP Max if it seems unfair, as if they had capped)

I honestly cannot fathom why this cannot be implemented. It is not new tech, it is not untested, we USED to have this and it was fantastic.

It meant corporations could say this:
"Hey, you guys want to have a fight? Maybe get some new strategies down?"
"Yeah sounds great"
"Awesome, be ready in 5 mins"

At the moment corps have to do this:
"Hey, you guys want to have a fight? Maybe get some new strategies down?"
"Yeah sounds great"
"Ok, in 1 day and 14 hours when you may or may not be available, we will be attacking this corporation. However it's costing us 36 million so you damn well better be there".

So please, CCP. Reply to this. Give the corporations out there not ready for PC some sort of hope. Hell, it'd be good for EVERY corporation anyway! Fights as and when you want, friendlies, fun matches, etc. Imagine how much easier thunderdome would be! You know that thing you made a Dev post about? Imagine how much easier it would be for Judge Radamanthus to test out Dropships and teach the community! Imagine how much easier it would be to have xXGhazbaranXx show us some awesome trick shots.

Opening corp battles opens up a huge potential for change and progression in Dust, and I think we need to address this NOW. None of this 'Road map' stuff, I believe I'm not the only one who'll want an answer.

I don't know how useful or easy it is to sign with that site, I'm hoping it will be a visual representation to CCP of how crucial this is.
