I think this comment sums it up. I think CCP doesn't know how to balance explosive weapons. Becuase beyond the locus grenades all other explosives suck

Edit: I know a shotgun would of been better but I wanted to make a fool out of him by killing him with a "Supposedly UP" Weapon.
I can kill a heavy in 3 shots of a scrambler pistol and still have ammo to spare...

it was the wording now i get it. But even so, in another fps perhaps this would be useful (ie. Maulers in Halo), but buckshot vs shielding and armor plating isn't going to do anything. espcially from an old gen shotgun.
