I just spent my MLK evening playing some Dust and I decided after a couple of matches to take some screens of the outcomes of random Ambush - the most likely game mode for people to play (new or old) if running solo.
As you can see, the past few hours have done nothing for my personal KDR. I'd like to call your attention to the matches where there was an entire team of people from the same corporation communicating on comms, stomping the randoms' guts out.
This isn't such a big deal since it is allowed of course. But I have to ask myself if the devs would think this was a fun game as a solo random on what is supposed to be the most dead night of the week (no one needs SP practically).
Is this your intention? I'm asking CCP Logibro and CCP Soxfour specifically. I know sox has some appendicitis going on, but this goes for anyone filling in for him. Does this look like fun?
I've been to fanfest (the 10 yr anniversary was spectacular btw). I've been in Dust's beta since I was allowed. I play when I can. Give me one good reason why you think that you deserve any money from the 'filthy casuals' with a match making system that is broken beyond words.
I get it, you want new features for the PC guys (I'm a software engineer by trade - I get it). But what about your casuals that just want to log in and play a few matches? The difficulty curve is simply not a curve anymore. It's worse than the cliff that is eve. The noobs that have no where to go for a lack of time commitment are the ones that suffer here.
there is of course that whole 'HTFU'... As a seven year + eve vet, I'm more than familiar. But there's nothing to harden up to. When there is zero room for growth as a player, your only option is to simply quit. I was able to do what I could with the linked groups, but I'm not going to be in all of these matches. When are you going to take a stand and say that pre-made groups need to be stuck with pre-made groups to play against? Feeding noobs to the grinder is what happens in Eve. We can get away with it somewhat since there's more to do than 'lobby shooter'.
I'm here asking on behalf of the noobs. Help us developers. New suits won't save us. You're our only hope!
ha ha you got rolled by dust Brazil.

Use the squad finder. Solo players leave themselves at a huge disadvantage. You can still run around and pretend you are Rambo, but the chances are you will have at least 5 other guys on your team that get what Dust is about.
Every one has justifications for their behaviors, notice I didn't say reasons. If you reason it out you would be in a squad.
Rambo wouldn't be here crying that battle is too tough for him.

Rambo wouldn't be here crying that battle is too tough for him. He isn't. He is saying it is too tough for new players, which it is.
Read his posts, he is complaining that he cant be effective against squads by himself. He always has a reason he doesn't want to be in a squad. perhaps a different game would suit him. I am just giving advice to someone who clearly needs help.

I am just giving advice to someone who clearly needs help. Or maybe you could read the post... I'm not asking for help for me. I have a good corp and a squad when I want it. I'm also not complaining about being effective against a squad as a solo player. I understand that running into a group of 6 guys by myself is a pretty bad idea in 95% of situations. I'm talking about the 'filthy casuals' and how they feel. "HURRR DURRR SQUAD UP" is not a solution to the problem of fresh recruits being put against a team that has several organized squads queue sync'ing and ending up on the same team. Putting those fresh recruits against even unorganized highly skilled/experienced players is also a problem. As stated in the OP that you didn't bother to read, "Feeding noobs to the grinder is what happens in Eve. We can get away with it somewhat since there's more to do than 'lobby shooter'." Without the lobby shooter, there's nothing else that a solo player can do without having a bunch of experience under his belt or very serious masochistic tendencies (solo ambush).
Your opening sentence was about solo players. All your posts are about ambush and not being in squads. What conclusion were you hoping I would come to?
Were you here in open beta? That's how long I've been training new players. I have a corp made up of mostly casual players. Making it easy for the solo player is not the way to go. New guys get the shaft. It sucks.
I have always been there for any one who wants to learn. CCP doesn't really care about gear disparity or NPE. They never have. We as leaders must do that on our own. I am telling you and new players to use the squad finder. Read the descriptions. I know I run a training squad or Big Bad HQ most days. There is plenty of people and resources to bridge the gap.
