I am not a mercenary, a merc accepts contracts for currency. I will fight for currency, for values or for just killing enemies for fucks sake I am a soldier
2. What do you feel the strongest points of a corporation should be? I.E: strength is bonds. monetary presence, elitist values, clear goals or purpose, etc.
Depends on the corp to be quite honest, some fight for empires both the 4 major and those made by capsuleers, Some fight for themselves for money as you might say, some fight for glory or elitism, some fight for values or a purpose, it is the soldiers who compose the corporations who determine that.
3. This is New Eden, where trust is a commodity. It's also something that is valuable because it is something that doesn't have to exist. A trustworthy transport service is worth an immeasurable amount of ISK is EVE for example. Being able to insure the safety of your assets in any way is a luxury not found often. How much do you all of DUST value Trust? Trust is valuable, probably the most valuable thing available, both in leaders and in soldiers ISK can be acquired and lost easily, trust not so...
4. How do you feel about Alliances? As a corporation, which is a business, would being in an Alliance be good choice? They may not shine a productive light on your corporation. Or in the worst case scenario, create a situation where your corporations merit is damaged by their actions. Do you believe they are worth it? Alliances are, as many things are, thing that vary wildly, some are large groups just binded by their numbers, some close knit groups behaving much like corporations, most are groups of corporations wishing to work together loosely or in a well co-ordinated manner to further their intrestests.
4. Unlike EVE pilots, we are mercenaries, soldiers for hire. Going along with that, contracts are what set us apart. Their payout, our trustworthiness and skill to see it through, and those who issue them are what matters in the long run. How would you all receive a corporation who's sole goal was the acquisition and completion of contracts as mercenaries? Would you scoff at their existence? Maybe you would see any goal other than personal conquest to be a fools errand? Would you even encourage their endeavor, seeing a possible investment in the future of DUST 514? I have met many mercenaries, but many soldiers, I feel the Term mercenary ill suits most due to the fact that it describes one profession. I see it as a possible and effective career, but Conquest is a fools errand let the capsuleers bicker over land, let me fight.
5. If EVE to DUST contracts opened up, do you think you'd be in a position to sell yourselves out? Does your corporation have the reputation required to do so? Not just in combat records, but in loyalty and code.I will not necessarily sell to anyone, I'd rather work with one particular group and work specifically with them
