What if we could fly re purposed RDVs that functioned as large gunships? Lots of health, slow flying, heavily armed/armored, very expensive dropships. I mean we already have the models in the game anyway. I think it's a shame that such a large aircraft cant join us in battle.
Don't know how it would be armed though. Large turrets seem too big, while small turrets seem too small (and assault dropships already have 3 of them)
Thoughts? Yes? No? Awesome? Stupid?

They should have an ability that instantly kills all vehicles within a 50m radius.
That way they're actually quite similar to the real thing.

I'd imagine this or something like it is on the To Do list at CCP already. Just give them time.

but what if two came into contact? ingame observation would conclude that a weird mating process would be initiated.

well, I saw two RDV's crash into each other, Im guessing they where trying to make babies. Now form of RDV on the horizon?

I would prefer the equivalent of a globemaster class, has VTOL but no hover can hold either 24 men OR 12 men and a tank.
How cool would it be to a HALO jump out the back of caldari globemaster WITH a tank.
