There are only so many system resources that can be used in total so reducing how much is used in one area increases what can be used in others. Whether it's a noticable difference in FPS I don't know. 'You can only post every 5 minutes because your account is less than 2 days old' - This gets old VERY quickly.

I was gaming in 720p and 1080p like 5 or more years ago on a windows PC. Granted the PS3 is a weak and ageing machine however that doesn't excuse CCP from optimising this game. Battlefield Bad company, BFBC2 and BF3 all worked pretty well on the PS3 so why is DUST - running on the Unreal engine - taxing the PS3 so much? The last Unreal game I played was Unreal Tournament on pc about a decade ago but Unreal 3 ran fine on the PS3 right? So what's up?

Client side can be lag-switched which means players can alter their connection at home and get an advantage by lagging the game. Server side lag comes from stress I'm guessing. Now to be clear: Nyain San used to spam equipment in their games. Not only that but I believe due to their different servers it was always some lag. You can't argue against it because Nyain San wasn't the only corp who did it...it became popular...Even in Public and especially Factional Warfare. I have not personally been in a PC where any corp doesn't spam equipment. you all act like spamming equipment doesnt lag the person doing it..it does. anyways.. UPDATE: playing in 420p does helps fps and prevent skips. downside..you can't see crap 50-75m+ away...
