why not put a timer on tanks after they are destroyed,
like BF4 they put timers on vehicles, so why not put a 1 min timer or so on tanks when ever they loose one so tank spam doesnt happen so often

The concept is unfair to people that have their points in Tanks. I have about 19 Million. 13 or 14 of it is in Vehicle Command, Vehicle Upgrades, and Turrets. Stating that people like me, truly dedicated Tankers, can't get another vehicle until one minute is being kind of unfair. That is why the retort is "you can't call in your dropsuit for a minute." That seems silly to you right? That is why the response is always the same. Battlefield also has free for all vehicles. It isn't my Tank, it is the community Tank. You didn't have to put months of training into using the Tank.

Only if 2 or 3 infantry can use weapons at a time. Everyone else has to punch.

Sorry, but for some players tanking is a profession, and I believe that should be supported. Any mechanism that means these players can't be in their tanks constantly is not going to work, imho.
I don't think there is an "easy" fix for tank / infantry balance. There are a few hard-but-probably-workable ones that have been suggested though.

An actual fix for 'tank spam'
Make each planet one large battlefield with multiple spawn points to star with. Vary the terrain so that there are built up areas, mountainous areas, plains, rivers and everything else. Increase the number of players that can play on each team (and don't require the match to be full before it starts) and allow players to join and leave as they want. In short turn maps into actual warzones where all playstyles complement each other and tactics actually come into play.
'You can only post every 5 minutes because your account is less than 2 days old' - Great way to encourage a community.

I'm not supporting the tank timer thing. I call in a tank, recall mine before the new one touches down, hop in and have refreshed hardeners in about 15 seconds. Who needs proto mods. I was just pointing out something you overlooked.
