Ghosts Chance Inf4m0us 847	Posted - 2014.01.20 20:53:00 - [8] - Quote it isnt so much a support weapon as it is a specialist weapon. the specialist weapons are mass driver, shotgun, laser rifle and sniper rifle. they all have more narrow roles then assault rifles more powerful strengths and bigger weaknesses now thats just a list made up of what we know out of whats in the game, for all we know the sniper wont belong in that list and will be replaced by another caldari weapon. they are powerful but situational for instance the laser rifle is absolutly useless in CQC

The weapon is great at keeping enemies at bay when defending and suppressing fire when advancing. If you use a laser rifle in an All out assault role you'll get burnt. You have to keep distance Not to say that you can't, but good luck killing an enemy at 30 meters that has any weapon other than a plasma cannon.

If you have vertical advantage, the Laser will win against the MD at 30 meters. But that's also a support weapon, so...
