Why are people able to snipe from on-top of the MCC. They get a cheap dropship - fly up land and recall.
Its ridiculous :( |

There is no diminish on the weapon? Or charge/bullet drop?
There is little skill needed to do this and you will kill proto suits with 10x the skill.
CCP equalizes when cheap isk things are able to smash expensive fits. Landing on the MCC should cause damage - It is taking fire but you can sit on it and snipe? |

That just doesn't make any sense. Landing on the MCC causes damage? Just how?
Because it is under fire with huge missles - the splash damage should be crazy.

Legitimately the MCC should shake from the impacts, as well as slowly degrade in altitude and structural integrity due to damage and gradual system failure. And the enemiesmcc shots shouldn't land in the same place.
Ya, its a cheap way to play. You lose very little no suits and get kills like crazy. It does not promote positive gameplay.
I hope this thread points them out to other snipers to help limit it. I also hope more people do it to really show the negative effect and see if CCP will stay hands off with this crap - they didn't with vehicles (I don't use vehicles so this is not a rage on nerfs for them jus ta point that CCP is more involved in controlling Dust game play unlike EVE. |

People are doing this. So saying they are not or can't just means your a moron or a baddy. |

It should destroy your DS trying to land on the MCC. Or increase your chance to take splash damage.
There is no skill involved. I like to think good snipers don't have to snipe from redline. They are much more tactful. Maybe I am wrong.

Sgt Buttscratch wrote:Sniping on the MCC doesn't make you a bad sniper, if done right you claim an excellent vantage point in which you can watch the enemy, call on incomming movements from infantry, tanks. you can get kills in and support your teams, and in actuallity it's easy to counter. I like the idea of MCC sniping.
ha ha ya, one sniper on his MCC and the other on his. They can't reach each other to counter but take easy kills on infantry that can't counter them. This leaves the "good" snipers (rare) to cross the map far enough to get in range of the MCC sniper without being spotted and taking them out.
What do you think requires more skill?

I like the fact that people can fly dropships upto random places and snipe, keeps you on your toes.. You can't drop hives up there(I know how to ), so they are limited to one clip before making the journey to ground then flying back up, and remember there are rail tanks everywhere these days. In order for me to think sniping from the top of the MCC is cool would mean you'd also have to remove the redline. it's not that it makes it a one dimensional game, it's just that it's another glitch/exploit people need or they'd suck. This game hinges on too many expoits vs actual gameplay.
wicked point! one dimensional game play speaks volumes of truth! |

ty for the feedback guys - I hope this brings some light on the issue.
If you can't beat them join them. Do what you want - But if you feel uber sniping from the MCC your a noob.
As it was mentioned in this thread you need to exploit game mechanics or you would fail.. to true.
I do not support one dimensional game play. |

Ya my answer for it now is.. Time limit for red zone all around. If its yours you have longer but still no sitting in red. Fight or leave combat.
