All the ARs are outclassed and outdone ATM. Highest DPS belongs to the assault rail rifle, highest range to regular rail rifle, highest ROF to combat rifles, and her DPS and range ain to shabby either.
Hence why combat rifle and rail rifles are king.
Since all I run is AR, I can't wait for inevitable nerf/buff to come

By this theory shouldn't all the assault variants be crapy copies of the AR?
I have not don't the math on combat rifles, as I think the big issue is players using modded co trolers with that, hence why rail rifles are the more common of the two to encounter. But all of teir assault vaients GREATLY increase their DPS and outclass the assault rifle.

Or just make it like the tactile AR. It has **** hip fire. Can still work cqc if like point blank, but you have to use the whole damb clip usually, BC your shots are going to miss.

the ROF on the regular combat and scrambler rifles are the only potentially imbalance there is right now other then the plasma rifle varients being underwhelming when compaired to their equivilants amung the new rifles (breach/burst/tac) but i think that part may be by design.

I don't mind being outclassed outside 30 meters. However I should be able to out damage all the other rifles since I have to get so bloody close. RR is only 3 DPS behind an Ar (basic) but an assault rail rifle beats a gel by roughly 15 DPS, has a more accurate hip fire, longer effective range,A lot more damage per magazine. The rail rifle is the same except the 3 measly less DPS, and due to the armor bias of most suits they actually probably outperform if I had the numbers of avg shields/armorof suits in game.
We are not king of the assault vaients, and if I had the time I would I've you the numbers to prove it. And we should be ki g of the rifles period inside 30 meters.
What we really need is a minimum optimal range. Say 30-40 meters. Below your weapons optimal range your damage starts dropping off, because your bullet doesn't have enough time to reach optimal velocity.
