I am new to PS/3 stuff and Dust is the only reason why I have one so I am completely new to all this. But at least the PS/3 is a common platform for all of us, so I am hoping that what works on your rig will work on mine.
So, here it is. I am looking for a Bluetooth headset and any recommendations on a good working model would be much appreciated. I am assuming here that anything that works well on your will work well on mine, or is this an invalid assumption?
I got something el-cheapo from Amazon, fully functioning comfortable headset that is neither functioning or comfortable and so I am throwing myself open to suggestions.
And what's in it for you lot if you help me? Well you can then be able to groan out aloud so that I hear when I stand on another live grenade...

Thanks ever so much
One question. Via Bluetooth is all the game sound sent via Bluetooth rather than to the TV so that I can play whilst the better half is asleep?

You shouldn't have to spend so much to get a working headset. Any bluetooth headset should work. I recommend going to your nearest cellphone store and buying a cheap one for a couple of dollars. Follow a simple guide to pair the bluetooth like this one:
http://www.ps3news.com/forums/ps3-guides-tutorials/how-pair-bluetooth-headset-ps3-console-100243.html
You might even be able to get the one you bought from Amazon to work. Just google "PS3 bluetooth pairing" if you don't find the guide that I provided you helpful. I'm sure there are youtube videos out there that can help.

Thanks for the guide. I have printed it out and I will try again to see if I can get the game noiise go through the headphone.
The one I have bought is a little flaky so I may go for something better. The one that you have is about $150 on this side of the pond right now but if I can get this crapola headset working and I get to enjoy it I may upgrade to it.
Thanks again for the feedback and the next thing to have silent midnight running on the PS/3.

My advice would be to not use a bluetooth headset at all; youGÇÖll run out of batteries when you need it most.
Any old USB headset will work BTW; I picked up this one for a really good price and it works like a charm!
Also: If you live in europe you can grab Dust 514 bluetooth bundle pack that comes with a Dust code for some sweet gear!

Both of these look interesting and since I am not paying -ú40 for Dust (free to play and all that) the price of a headphone is 'value'. As you can see I am practising my pitch to the better half...
Just for confirmation; both of these have the full game sound go to the headphones and not to the television?

Confirmed!
The Triton ones I have you can independently; change the volume of people taking, ingame sounds or mute your microphone. Also has a detachable microphone, has a 6 meter cable and can be used as normal headphones, also can be used with PC or an Xbox.

The mic i linked has got insanely good battery hour, about 6-8 hours. You can also charge it while you play, so no downtime at all.
Also, adjustable voice/game volume options.
