Made me mad too.
I remember I was aiming my Forge at you, you were almost dead, the shot got fired, and it passed right through the open doors on the DS.
Then I was taken out by a missile Python.
I was pretty mad.

I'm pretty sure it can - My favourite moment in Dust ever came from a plasma cannon being fired INTO a dropship.

Yup, it's happened to me before, also Dropships can open their doors (press X), and makes it even more likely to happen.

my favourite moment was when a corpmate manning the side turret ate the forgegun round and all i got was splash damage, it saved my python.

Jason's cool, I got him with swarms about a week ago and he sent a mail saying that he probably shouldn't have gotten out of the tank (irrc, it was something to that extent)
