This is SO BASIC I almost don't want to post it. On the otherhand, SO MANY players are doing this wrong that I feel I should. 1) if fielding a nanite injector, do not rush into a firefight to revive a fallen comrade. You will die, he will die (again) and your opponent is that much closer to an orbital strike. 2) if fielding a nanite injector and a repair tool, equip the repair tool before you hit "O" to inject, and repair the raised clone as soon as he/she gets up. He/she will have no idea what is going on around them, is likely to run for cover, and requires YOU to keep them standing up until their shields recharge. There you have it, basic logi class ha ha. Mock me if you want (trolls) but mant players need this simple advice. |

Should probably be in another forum other than GD, but sound advice regardless. A good revive makes me happy. A bad revive makes me through the remote at the cat.

I always love the idiots that try and revive you right in the vicinity of a blaster tank after you've gone down from it. I find myself shouting at the tv, "NOOOO. GTF away from me!!!"

3: practice equipping the nanite injector before reviving someone and using R1 to revive them instead of O.
With the injector in hand, you can sprint to the body, revive them in a fraction of a second and start moving away immediately. When you get good at this, you can backpedal away from them and manually switch to a repair tool while the revived merc is still getting up.
If you use the circle button, you're locked in place as you go through a complex animation of equipping the injector, crouching and stabbing, then switching back to your previous weapon/equipment before you can start moving. This is what sends the message "EVERYONE START SHOOTING OVER HERE FOR A DOUBLE KILL!"

Problem is there in the Starter Fits. I had a blueberry in a starter fit once farm me 6 times in front of a heavy in a pub, so I mailed the heavy, we found him and farmed him an equal six. I don't know if we got the point across, but he didn't to it to me again that match. As a Logi, there are many tricks that you can do to make your reviving faster, but don't give them all out guys, we logis need to keep some tricks in our hat.

This is periodically mentioned in the Rookie Training section. Unfortunately, the few that do read the forums rarely make it there. Someday we'll have a real New Player Experience and this kind of thing can be used for a lesson.
