With the introduction of the Gallente Ion Pistol being more than capable of taking down enemies with it's dual firing mode AND the addition to Gallente suits getting a built in armor repair (focusing on repair over armor is lore correct, thank you CCP for that change) we are one addition away from being the OP master race.
Wait until we get drones and sentry guns, just wait. It will be a glorious day to rock Gallente!
I'm just so giddy with joy I had to make a pointless thread about it, I apologize for the clutter.
Gallente suits have come so far from being absolute ****, to what they are becoming....being here since E3 build, it brings a tear to this old veterans eye.
Caldari 514 is now officially a thing of the past.... |

Sentry guns as a deployable Eq would be cool, but arn't we supposed to be getting droppable turrets (small/medium/large) as callable support through off map support?
No time in the near future for drones no, but in the future when the game ports for PS4 we might finally get them.

Most likely not, having the repair tool bonus is already a good enough bonus already on top of the native armor regain.
Level 5 armor repair on a scout suit with a complex repair tool will yield 9.25 armor repair per second. Let's just let that sink in.

I think we are, they have been small turrets in the past so they should come back.
Sentry guns would allow for protection in an area without the using a an extra player to guard a post.
I can only imagine a Logistics suit and a Sentry gun holding down Bravo in Line Harvest.
It sends tingles through my spine just thinking about it! |

From what I understand they are changing damage modifiers quite a bit.
Whether it be from only doing a specific damage to one type or switching to low slots we will have to see.
I have no problem with Damage modifiers moving to low slots but I'd like to get some decent high slot modules first. |

1.8 will be an exciting time.
All the Assaults seem pretty Balanced except for the Amarr but that could be rearranged easily if it hasn't already been. |

I didn't have the scout suits in mind when making that comment. The scout is still a largely unfinished class even in 1.8 so I'm not making any decisions on it.
The assaults however seem to be getting rounded out perfectly and that's what I was talking about.
Next will be logistics when they get around to infantry again.
Then scouts and/or heavies in a very distant future. |
