I would support a full, final respec when CCP releases all the basic racial variants of dropsuits, vehicles, and weapons.
Vehicles - Racial LAVs, MAVs, HAVs, Light, Medium, and Heavy Aircraft
Weapons - Handheld short and long range so each race has 2 weapons each of sidearm, light, and heavy. Also a short and long range small and large turret.
Only when this basic content is finally put in game should we get a full and final respec. After that, if your junk gets nerfed, then that's too bad.

Wonderful. As if we won't be doing the same thing again when the full race's vehicles come out. If CCP does listen then I'll have to put my skills back in where they were taken out.

I think that some multipliers will change, probably there will be a full respec, fortunately i don't have to change nothing.

Hmmmm frankly speaking I am not expecting a respect..... its not normally in CCP to do that.... though I do feel like the one respect they did give us was a poorly timed one, at the start of uprising......but still lacking massive content features.
Now I am to really complaining when I say this....but it does seem like the Amarr have had a combat doctrine change from a more balanced shield/armour ratio to a more Armour heavy suit type.
I would also like to think my 12 months playing Dust have not be squandered now that CCP has finally released the suit content I originally wanted to play since the outset of Uprising....but again as I said I doubt they will give us a respect.
Either way I have a plan on how I want to skill True given his content is now coming out.
A full respect again would be beneficial to me since with the introduction of the new content I can now see on the horizon means I can simply skill out of the current Tank skills and wait on the release of the Amarr HAV....but that is a shallow reason for demanding a respec and not really all that worthy.
Again I also don't like defying the spirit of New Eden which is all about consequences...but again some things I originally made those decisions based on are now being changed....which is somewhat irritating but understandable.
I wouldn't mind a 1 time respec when all racial content is released....but I don't want to see one, and then feel like the next update is going to screw me over again.... I have my plans set in stone now, either way come respec or nothing at all I have to now skill.

Yeah, I've been interested in the Amarr Pilot and Amarr dropships since I saw those. Somehow I don't think racial parity for vehicles is inbound soon. I'm not really sure what the devs think of their most recent vehicle balance even (i.e. - when they feel like "phasing" back in the "non-basic" elements of vehicles).
1.8 might bring suits. We'll still be lacking half the heavy weapons, half the vehicles, and about half the turrets (Beam/Pulse Laser turrets, Artillery vs. Autocannon Projectile turrets?).
It's a start I suppose. As a side note, the Amarr ships in the concept art look a bit too silver.. they should be more gold.

Drop suits are being added that SHOULD have been there since "release" so I want my drop suit command respec
Because the suit I wanted to use is a different tank than the one I'm using now I want my drop suit upgrades respec
Because ALL suits are getting new bonuses and some synergies between certain suits and weapons are no longer viable I want a weaponry respec
There is absolutely NO reason for vehicle respec....you dicks are just being greedy

Seriously though, I'm pretty sure CCP will do a full infantry respec to, if nothing else, at least prevent a massive uproar from their players. Many people will rage if they don't get a respec, and I think CCP would like to avoid that.

Well, sounds like somebody should have had the forethought to shield tank their Gallente all along  . Seriously though, I completely agree with everything you said. I just want to run the suit I've been looking forward to since last fanfast which was promised "Soon, not TM. Actually soon". no respec , I hear people whine and cry when their stuff is getting nerfed. When the vehicles were crap before 1.7 and then CCP gave a respec to the vehicle tree, all I hear is vehicles are OP, what now are we going to say about a respec on dropsuits? CCP missed up on the swarm launchers when they nerfed them to nill, now tanks, dropships, and lav's are taking over the map. So think of this if they do a respec pray they don't nerf your favorite suit so CCP can put in all your request.
Tank are my favorite red dots to kill. KILL, KILL, KILL, KILL............

What did you expect? It would be the meta-gamers dream to get a full respec.
They don't really think about game balance but only that they want to be able to max out the next FOTM.
I cast my vote for dropsuit command only. They're the only ones subjected to concrete changes.
Weaponry and other core skills won't need a respec. |
