Even though cloaks are a GAllente thing, Caldari will have them. WHy? Well, on IRC, was just talking to nova, and he said " Protip: everyone should be farming caldari fw so they can be OP when the new shitcomes" I said why, all it is the the Magsec, bolt, and new suits. He responded with, "The thing that has yet to be announced.". Assuming the devs have any bit of sense, it can either be the cloak or the portable shield, as those both haven't been officially been announced to be coming in 1.8. Let the **** post HAV's tracks start moving on full. Guess for the first time ever, I'll be grinding out Caldari LP.......

How long will it take ti get a "shield generator" Would like to ask why is this needed? Why not nerf the armor nanohives a bit and you use shield energizers over you damage mods? If this protable sheild comes I sure hope it doesnt do alot. . Dropsuits can easily put energizers on and have a lot of reps per second.
1: They could have this as a surprise, and not said anything about it. I've seen even more secret surprises come out of people, like not even mentioning it at all then coming out with it. They've at least mentioned it twice.
2: You are thinking about a shield transporter. This would basically be either
- Riot shield, probably in bubble form
- deployable that you put down and emits a force field that covers an entire area
And apparently it is supposed to protect against OB's, so I'm thinking the force field is the one that would happen.

I was thinking more of a normal shield like everyone has but in bubble form and possibly around 1000 shields with a slow recharge rate. the shield you described is just OP by design.
What you described would make everyone into heavies, so OP. and neither of my ideas would be OP, as
1: probably would be able to break the riot shield type, or if not, would limit you to certain types of weapons to use while it's out, or no weapons at all. Plus, a cloaked scout would just flank you and pop you from behind
2: You would be able to walk into the force field (probably), and destroy it, so again, cloaked scout would just walk in and destroy it, and runs away while an OB comes down, and kills them all.
